Well, at least at this time of year, they’re right. Right now it’s 1040 here in sunny Tucson.
The humidity is…2%
The dew point is…00
Can’t get much dryer than that.
Bright sun, no clouds. Admittedly it feels a smidge like the inside of an oven, not that I’ve ever been inside an oven. Except my car in the summer.
But, no floods, no torrential rains, no snow, no sleet, no iced windshields, no tornados and no hurricanes.
Yep, I’ll take our heat!

World wide eyes will be on the Royal Wedding later today. I'll maybe tune in for a brief moment.
However a lot of "eyes" from Tucson will be glued to the TV coverage of the launch of the Shuttle Endeavor, as the Commander of the shuttle is Mark Kelly, husband of our beloved Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Gabby's doctors cleared her to go to the launch to see her husband off. She was well enough to travel! That's a BIG Deal for a lot of us here in Tucson, AZ.

Loreena Yeo writes a well thought out blog post here. The numbers really DON’T Lie. A listing agent, and there are all sorts, really would be well advised to take what Loreena Yeo says here.
I would cringe if I ever heard “Let's just put the house on the market and see what happens.” Of course as a PURE Buyer's Only Agent, I'll NEVER hear that, but all the other agents will.

Tucson Market Statistics, as of December 2010, good news if you’re a buyer! And ALL my clients ARE buyers!
Inventory was up as of December 2010, active inventory was 7,650, a 21% increase from December 2009. That’s good news if you’re a buyer. More to choose from.
Sold homes were up. There were 928 closings in December 2010, 9% above December 2009.
Months of Inventory was 8.2, up from 7.4 in December 2009. That’s good news if you’re a buyer. More time to search for that special home.

Zenyatta was sired by Street Cry, who also sired in the same crop 2007 Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense. Really great bloodlines.
Yes, I know, she's a horse, not a house. If she was a house, she'd be worth about $7,304,580, which are her lifetime winnings. Not to mention her intangible value as a broodmare!

Is this true? If so, great news, possibly some help in solving the nightmare that is a Short Sale.
The HAFA program has been a mixed bag, but last week the Treasury Dept. changed the rules to make short sales easier.
Here are the primary changes to HAFA or so i have heard.
- Those seeking a short sale must get an answer within 30 days
- Servicers are no longer required to verify a borrower's financial information
- Servicers are no longer required to determine if the debt-to-income exceeds 31%

OK, we like it here for all sorts of reasons. The beautiful Sonoran Desert, the scenic 5 mountain ranges around our fair city. The fact that in the dead of winter elsewhere, we can either play golf in shorts and a golf shirt, or (sometimes) drive an hour North of town, and be at the Mt.
