South Windsor Leaf Collection - 10/30/08 09:51 AM
Updated with 2009 collection information.
This fall as usual South Windsor leaf collection will be offered curbside to residents.  Starting November 2, 2009 crews will start the first of two passes thorough town to collect leaves.  The second pass is scheduled to start on November 18th.  All the dates are weather permitting.  Want to know when your street is scheduled for visit the town will be releasing a schedule later.  When it is available I'll post a link to it here.

Halloween Happenings Manchester CT Safe Trick-or-Treating - 10/22/08 08:49 AM
Halloween Happenings is a Safe Trick-or-Treating event for children from Manchester and surrounding towns.  It is scheduled for October 25th and will happen rain or shine (except for the chalk drawing and parade).  Dress up in your favorite costume and check out all the fun activities planned for the day.
So what fun events are planned for the day?
10:30 to 11:30am - A "Spook-tacular" Magic show featuring magician Dan Bowen.  The show will be held in the Howroyd Room of the Mary Cheney Library.

Benefit Auction and Dinner November 2nd - 10/22/08 08:25 AM
The Melissa Makes Bears Charity Organization will be holding a pasta dinner and auction on November 2, 2008 at South Windsor Fire Station Headquarters, 1175 Ellington Road.
Enjoy a pasta dinner from 4 to 5:30 p.m. that costs just $5 for adults and $3 for children (12 and under). Following dinner at 5:30 p.m. is the comedy of the "Stand-Up Pediatrician" Dr. Jay Sutay. To complete the evening at 6 p.m. there will be a live auction hosted by radio personality Damon Scott.
