If you live in Connecticut and sell your home you may not have to pay capital gains when you sell like home owners in the rest of the country, but did you know you will have to pay "silent tax", the "Municipal Conveyance Tax"?  It robs home sellers of hard earned equity, and average of $2500 of equity.
For those of you who are not familiar with the issue, our state government and state leaders elected to have a “temporary hike” in this specific tax.  They made the promise that they would let the tax expire, or sunset in June of 2004.  … (1 comments)
