daytona beach shores real estate: Some Mighty Competitors Out There - 05/14/12 07:54 AM
Being in vacation and event spot means that you get mighty competition. I remember my lazy photos of Shuttle launch made from Ponce Inlet, and before I got down to my condo from the garage, which was couple of minutes, and wrote a short blog, I was stunned to see a blog post already published by Gary Woltal, and boy, what a phenomenal photo of this Shuttle did he have there.
I have never been that close to the Shuttle in my life. It felt like he was with the crew there, so freaking close, that you sort of could see … (14 comments)

daytona beach shores real estate: I Drive Less Than 100 Miles A Week - 05/06/12 09:41 AM
Guilty as charged. Yes, on average I drive less than 100 miles a week. I read Michael Thornton’s post (not so) Speechless Sundae ~ 5.6.12... and then I read comments and I thought that this was not my case. Michael wrote about his new 4-wheel toy – Chevy Volt, and mentioned that he drove 500 miles in one week. The comments are filled with more surprise (and envy) to this fact rather than phenomenal Chevy Volt’s fuel economy. Maybe it is a great car, but it is not for me, a condo dweller. I wouldn’t be able to charge it in … (13 comments)

daytona beach shores real estate: Daytona Beach Shores. March 2012 - 03/18/12 03:17 PM
Daytona Beach Shores. March 2012
Daytona is getting ready for summer. Bikers are rolling out, two weeks of  fun, noise and roar of thousands of Harley is practically over, and this starts our real estate hot and passionate season.
People think that Bikeweek is a big deal in Real Estate, but it is not. It is the opposite. It is dead as it can be. And same thing during the races. People come with agenda. It is bikes, beer and fun, and it is not real estate.
But with the roar of Harley disappearing in the distance, the real estate boom … (1 comments)

daytona beach shores real estate: Quiet "Winter" Morning on the Intracoastal in Daytona Beach Shores - 01/26/12 06:20 PM
Quiet "Winter" morning on the Intracoastal in Daytona Beach Shores
We are getting just days away from February, but the temperature is more like in March, and in the last week even the water in the ocean went up from 66F to 68F. It is really comfortably warm, and in the car you need AC. It was 76F on the beach at 6 PM. Absolutely not bad.
Of course, we have another month – February – which is considered second coldest month, and the weather can change practically instantly, so the winter is not over yet, but there isn’t much … (6 comments)

daytona beach shores real estate: Perfect Evening in Daytona Beach Shores - 10/01/11 02:22 PM
Perfect evening in Daytona Beach Shores. Air temperature – 83F, water temperature – 83F.  It all changes tomorrow as the first cold front is coming and for the first time in several months night temperature will fall below 70F. They say that on Saturday we will not go higher than 78F, and after high 80s and low 90s for months, it will feel like winter (don't laugh at me, it is all relative...)
But today I am enjoying this warm temperature. The water is so perfect, that I did not want to get out of the Ocean. This is the beauty … (8 comments)

daytona beach shores real estate: Living in Daytona Beach Shores. Living by the ocean. - 09/06/11 12:15 AM
Daytona area has 23 miles of the Beach.
The longest shoreline is in Daytona Beach Shores. Being so much smaller than its neighbor Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores “picked” the best place on the beachside. It is bordered by the ocean  on the east and Halifax River on the west and is sandwiched between Daytona Beach to the north and Wilbur-by-the-Sea and Ponce Inlet to the South.

Our office is in Daytona Beach, in the oceanfront condo-hotel. And I live in Daytona beach Shhores. I try to walk home from my office as often as I can, and I enjoy walking barefoot … (13 comments)

daytona beach shores real estate: It Is Hot. And I Scream Ice Cream - 09/05/11 03:49 PM
It is September in Daytona Beach Shores. And it is still hot in the middle of the day even on the beach. At this time there are more people in the pools than on the beach.
In a few hours there will be way more people on the beach, biking, walking, jogging, swimming, playing in the waves…
It is hot, and I scream… Ice Cream
Ice Cream I scream…

daytona beach shores real estate: Amazing, What An IPhone Can Do... - 06/11/11 03:50 PM
The beauty of summer is that days are long, and even if you are late in the office, you still have all the time to enjoy the ocean and the beach. I live in Daytona Beach Shores, less than 10-minute drive from my office, and this is a rare time when I am on the beach every evening.

I usually only have my I-Phone with me, and every time I regret that I do not have my Canon Mark II, as the  changing beauty is overwhelming, and you always have the feeling that  you will never see it like that… which … (27 comments)

daytona beach shores real estate: Evening After Thunderstorm in Daytona Beach Shores - 05/28/11 03:39 PM
The blunt of the thunderstorm was across the  Intracoastal, but you could see the lightning and still hear the sound of thunder...
I was working at my computer watching the retention pond filling up with water turning it into what we call «seasonal waterfront". I did not notice when the rain stopped, and then suddenly saw the clouds lit with sunlight. It was such a metamorphose...
I rushed to the roof with my camera, as I have been waiting for this moment for some time. The ocean was dark. The sky over the Intracoastal was dark, but the sun was making … (9 comments)

daytona beach shores real estate: Evening in Daytona Beach Shores - 10/18/10 12:43 AM
There is Biketoberfest in full swing just a few miles away in Daytona Beach, but here in Daytona Beach Shores you do not see that many bikes on the road, and the beach is serene and quiet.
This is the time of the year when the daily temperatures still reach 80F, but the nights are in the 50s and the ocean cooled to 75F and is too cold for core Floridians. We are spoiled. We do not swim in the water at temperatures, which in many other places would be considered very warm.
We went to the beach as we … (4 comments)

It is a Holiday weekend in Daytona Beach Shores.  Time to relax, to party, to have a glass of wine at a local restaurant, or have a barbeque with your family and friends. daytona beach shores real estate: The Oceans in Daytona Beach Shores - 06/24/09 11:38 PM

Daytona Beach Shores is a home to a condo row known as the Oceans. They started in the glorious 70s and at that time were quite a statement for a small quaint place on the Atlantic Ocean.
They go by the numbers: Oceans One, Oceans Two and so on, skipping Oceans Nine, and it ends in Oceans Ten. All by one developer, Bellemead. In addition to the Oceans from One to Ten, which are all direct oceanfront buildings, there are also two twelve-story buildings: Oceans Atrium and Oceans Atrium One, sitting between Oceans Three and Oceans Four.

Majority of them have already … (11 comments)
