Living on the beachside in Daytona is a big advantage. Even with our busy schedule, it takes me only 5 minutes to walk to the beach. I love walking on the beach and do it religiously. The only difference that I envision for me when I retire (if ever), is that I will be doing it every day and not 2-3 times a week like now.
Our beaches are far from crowded for the most time. Local events like Daytona 500, Bikeweek, Coke 400, Biketoberfest and others can pump adrenaline into life here, but it is for a few days, and … (8 comments)

It is the first weekend of September, and Sunday on the Beach in Ponce Inlet - FL, which is a Labor Day, is not as hot as just a week ago. Of course, we got used to high temperature during the summer and 84F in the later afternoon, when we go to the beach, is just perfect.
With water at 82F, we are getting into the best season in East Central Florida, and in our small and quaint town of Ponce Inlet in particular.

Living in Florida not far from the Space Coast gives you a chance to see the launches without spending a whole day trying to get as close as you can. You can see it from so far away, that I remember seeing it from Palm Coast, Orlando, and, of course, Ponce Inlet (Daytona Beach area) where I live now.

Simple Pleasures of Living by the Beach in Ponce Inlet
I have lived here in Ponce Inlet since summer 2004. Just across Atlantic Ave., which goes along the beach. We live in the Links, which is part of Harbour Village, the largest condominium development in Ponce Inlet. I see the ocean from my window between the oceanfront condo-buildings. I do not regret being on the opposite side of the street, on the contrary. The Links at Harbour Village in Ponce Inlet, where I live, is the only Golf community in Ponce Inlet, and, though not a golfer, I enjoy lush green and … (6 comments)
