It is September in Daytona Beach Shores. And it is still hot in the middle of the day even on the beach. At this time there are more people in the pools than on the beach.
In a few hours there will be way more people on the beach, biking, walking, jogging, swimming, playing in the waves…

Imagine a man or a woman buying a plane ticket. S/he goes on the net and searches for the best deal. S/he finally finds one. It is an exceptional price, so s/he is thrilled.
Small problem, however. The seat is not by the window, and s/he would like it by the window.
Is there anything by the window? Yep, but $200 more. What if s/he waits? Well, the seats are going fast, and the deal might be gone.
S/he still decides to wait until there will be a seat for the same money but by the window.

My blog resulted in a call from snowbirds. They have been renting here for years, and now are getting ready to retire and settle in Daytona Beach Shores. They are familiar with the area, have seen condos on the beach and know what they want.
In 2009 they fell in love with a unit in Palma Bella in Daytona Beach Shores. Priced at $398,500, this large 2,425 sq. ft. direct oceanfront three bedroom-three baths unit on the 3rd floor was an excellent buy. Just checked MLSand my listing in Towers Grande is $100K lower than the next unit. It is a huge difference, but somehow we still do not have an offer. Yes it is a short sale, but some others are short sales too. And the Seller has a letter from the Lender with the number that they have in mind, and it is pretty close to our price. Friday morning started with a press-conference in the Conference room of Oceanside Inn, a Daytona Beach Shores condo-hotel.It marked a significant event for condo associations in Central Florida. A week ago Judge Graham appointed David Ryder from Coral Springs, FL to be a receiver after granting blanket receivership to Oceanside Inn Condo-Owners Association.

Somehow my posts about The Plaza Resort & Spa got some people confused. I am getting quite a number of requests regarding Plaza Resort, and here are many questions and concerns regarding the Association Fee, Maintenance, Taxes & Insurance.
Q. What is the monthly Maintenance (Association) Fee?A. Maintenance Fee is $528.50 a month. There are condo-hotels in Daytona Beach area with nearly half of that maintenance, and where your rental income is not enough to cover maintenance fee and taxes.
