The week of August 5 to 14 is Baltimore City Restaurant Week. It is a great time to try new food, to eat at some restautants at a discount price in today's economy. 
 

Participant restaurants will have special priced menus for #35.11 and lunch for $20.11. There is a variety of cuisines from all over the world. And Baltimore crab specialties.

Banks are giving money for Short Sales - 07/29/11 06:24 PM
I just read an interesting article on DSNEWS, the article explains that major lenders are giving their borrowers insentives for short sales, and some are trying to streamline the process.
The article states that Wells Fargo has been giving relocation assistance up to $20,000 in Florida for if the borrower chooses to go do a short sale or deed in lieu. Chase is also offering up to $20,000 if the borrower doesn't qualify for a loan modification and up to $30,000 in CA. Citi has insentive average is $12,000 for a short sale.

When is the next wave of Foreclosures coming? - 07/28/11 05:14 PM
We keep hearing about his Tzunami Wave of foreclosure properties, the Shadow Inventory, etc. I have heard from several bank executives and experts in the foreclosure industry that there is enough inventory to last another 4 to 5 years or more.
I know several REO agents and investors who are expecting all those thousands of listings and investment properties to come. Hey I am not going to lie I want my share too. But lets look at the way things are handle.

In Abingdon Maryland the average day on the market for a property is 120 days. But if you have a good product and it is price correctly you can get it under contract in less time.

Well as most people on the East Cost know, it is scortching HOT out there. I know some of the folks from the Southwest are calling us wimps because this is their spring weather, but for most of us, and I was born in a town where 80 degrees is as cold as it gets. This heat is too much.

HUD hire appraisers to price their homes before they sale, the policy is that HUD lists the properties at the appraisal value. Appraisers are humans and sometimes they make mistakes, usually they over price properties but in the some few cases they underprice them.
When properties are underprice usually there is a multiple offer situation, and in some cases the buyer falls in love with the property and tells the agent to over bid on it. BE CAREFUL.
