First of all, I want to wish everyone the best of luck in 2009. I had a very blessed year in 2008 in only my second full year in Real Estate. I sold over $13,000,000 of Real Estate in this area and was in the top 20 agents for sales volume between Pensacola and Panama City. I got to thinking about tithing and closing gifts at different points today. Thinking that I need to be more consistent with my donations even more so in this down economy. I was also thinking about some of the silly closing gifts I've purchased for clients that just bought a $700,000 property. I know that most people buying in that price range donate to one charity or another during the course of the year. Why not combine my tithe with a closing gift to my client? NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The Federal Reserve slashed a key interest rate by three-quarters of a percentage point Tuesday, in the central bank's continued effort to restore confidence in the economy and battered financial markets.
Although some experts cautioned that the cut may lead to more inflation, stocks soared as Wall Street cheered the news.

Here is the Sales and Inventory history for January, 2008. This includes all single family homes between Destin and Inlet Beach. In my 2008 forecast I said that January would be a key indicator as to where we are headed this year.
As you can see we jumped up 6 sales over January, 2007. I think that's a great sign for what's to come this year. You can see a dramatic decrease in the average sales price. Mortgage application volume skyrocketed for the second consecutive week, rising 28.4 percent during the week ending Jan. 11, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association's weekly application survey.The MBA's application index rose to 906.4 from 706 the previous week, which was shortened due to the New Year's holiday. Mortgage volume slows during the winter, which can lead to greater volatility.
