There are two sides to closing costs, those fees associated with buying a home and those associated with selling your home and I will tackle these seperately. BUYER'S CLOSING COSTS As a home buyer, not (0 comments)

Selling your own Dallas home might sound like a good idea at first, but many FSBO (for sale by owner) sellers quickly realize they've gotten in over their heads or may have sold their home for much less than they would have had they worked with a Realtor®. Twelve percent of sellers who knew the buyer thought that getting the price right was the hardest task. Among FSBO sellers who didn't know the (0 comments)

Dallas Home Search Tips For Dallas Real Estate - 05/11/09 08:12 AM
Below are search tips for Dallas home buyers looking for Dallas homes for sale: 1. Research before you look. Decide what features you most want to have in a home, what neighborhoods you prefer, and how much you'd be willing to spend each month for housing. 2. Be realistic. Get your finances in order. Review your credit report and be sure you have enough money to cover your (0 comments)
Dallas Real Estate: What is 1031 Reverse Exchange? - 05/06/09 03:02 PM
A slower Dallas real estate market is creating more of a demand for reverse 1031 exchanges. Properties are taking longer to sell making it difficult for sellers to adhere to 1031 exchange 180 day rules. But there is another option called a Reverse 1031 Exchange allowing for the roll-over of proceeds after closing on another property. Inman had a great article by Ilyce Glink addressing reverse exchanges. Read what she has to say: Q: We are Canadian citizens who have owned a home in Fort Myers, Fla., for four years. There is no mortgage on the property. We have put the property (1 comments)
