I'm sure you've heard the news - now Fannie Mae wants not one but TWO lockboxes on every Fannie Mae listing. Oh the woe! Oh the terror! Oh, the expense!
As you rush off to order yourself 40 quiksets, like I was looking to do, you may quickly find that they are on backorder. A big backorder. Fantastic.... now what?

reo: Today's Minor Dilemma - 12/17/08 11:59 PM

Any of you in Minnesota know how loverly the weather has been. We got dumped on. The next day the plows came through, and I don't know about other parts of the state, but Kanabec and Isanti counties still have messy, icy roads.
I got a BPO order Friday afternoon. I didn't go immediately. Saturday we went Christmas shopping, and it began to snow and drizzle. Home we went, where I've been since. Until today.
This lovely interior BPO was due today. In Cambridge, roughly 40 miles from my house. Now, that's not a distance to those of us who live in … (10 comments)

reo: The Per Diem Turn Around - 06/04/08 03:34 PM

I'm quite sure I'm not the only one who has recently encountered such cases as this, so I'm writing today to see what kind of feedback I get from others out there in the market.
In my county, in this market, REO's are what sells. You deal with them in 90% of your transactions and showings. There is such a flood of them, and they are dropping in price daily.
So it is to be expected that eventually, you will write an offer with a buyer and it will be accepted by the bank, and YAY! you have a pending transaction.
