Flag Day is Saturday, June 14th and commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United Sates which happened on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. In 1916 President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation making June 14th the official Flag Day and in August of 1949 National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress. So on Saturday, June 14th if you have a flag, fly it proudly.
