Tortilla Soup Recipe - 11/30/10 10:25 PM
I love a good Tortilla Soup, but rarely like what is served at various restaurants.  Amazingly enough, this quick and simple recipe which I got from my daughter, is one of my favorites.  (Quick and easy doesn't hurt either!)  I don't know that it is "an original" -- for all I know, it may be on the label of some can of soup.  I think she got it from a friend.  Hope you will try it.

19 oz. Can of Wild Rice & Chicken Soup

Online Shopping Safety Tips - 11/29/10 11:40 AM
 
 
I just heard a couple of online shopping safety tips on the radio.  Probably common knowledge, but maybe this will be a reminder for some:
In the address bar, before making a purchase, be sure you see https:// not just http//  -- the "s"  indicates it is a safe website, OR the little lock also indicates it is a safe website.
Another recommendation is to actually CALL the company you are ordering from to make sure they are a legitimate business, especially if you have never heard of them.

I've lived in the Houston area almost all my life - since I was about three years old.  I honestly can't imagine living anywhere else.  I love to visit other places but am always glad to come home to Texas.  The people are friendly, the food is awesome, entertainment and things to do are plentiful - something for everyone - and homes are affordable!

There are many affordable 3 Bedroom and 4 Bedroom homes for sale in Charterwood, which is in northwest Houston and right next to Spring, TX.  Charterwood is a relatively small neighborhood just off of Hwy 249 and Louetta. Along with chocolate and grapes, thanks to Holly Weatherwax, I just learned about something else that is deadly to dogs . . . gum or candy containing Xylitol, an artificial sweetner found in sugarless gum and candies as well as chewable vitamins.
