That is quite a statement isn't it? Who would believe that in this great country of ours, "America", approximately 16 million American children will actually go to bed hungry....tonite!!

Why would a Seller turn down a good offer?
I was speaking to a colleague the other day about a Seller who had turned down what the Realtor considered to be "a good offer" on a Luxury Home in the Greater Daytona Beach Area. The Buyer eventually got frustrated that they couldn't come to terms, walked away from the deal, and purchased another home.
Now the Seller sits and waits for another Buyer...

I was recently reading an article about "STUFF". Why do we accumulate so much stuff in our lives? Every year I try to declutter, and clean out closets and rid my home of the clutter, old magazines, clothing that is either too small, too big, or out of style, etc.

Ponce Inlet - 2010 Toy Drive for Halifax Urban Ministries
The Ponce Inlet Police Department is conducting its 10th Annual Toy Drive for needy children.
For the 10th straight year the police department will be collecting "unwrapped toys" and donating them to Halifax Urban Ministries.
Collection boxes have been set up in the Police Department lobby, and also at the Ponce Inlet Community Center.
Anyone wishing to donate should bring an unwrapped new toy to either of these locations prior to December 22, 2010.

Thanksgiving in Florida is definitely different, but here in the south we have all of that good ole southern food as well as great weather, friendly people, and it's a fantastic place to live!

Bar Codes are coming to Real Estate and are becoming very popular.
Consumers shopping the residential and commercial properties listed by Stirling Sotheby's International Realty in the central Florida area, will soon be able to use their smart phones to access all of the information about the listing.
Roger Soderstrom, Stirling Sotheby's founder/owner, recently announced that both potential home buyers and commercial clients will be able to access a comprehensive data base about our listings, by snapping a picture of the bar code on the property "for sale" or "for lease" sign.

Halifax River Yacht Club will be hosting the 11th Annual Christmas Boat Parade on the
Halifax River in downtown Daytona Beach on Saturday, December 4, 2010, 6:30pm
Boats will assemble north of the Seabreeze Bridge on the Halifax River (Intracoastal Waterway) at 6:30pm and will travel south down the Halifax River turning into the basin in front of the Halifax River Yacht Club, and then turn into the north basin at the Daytona Beach City Marina where the boats will be judged.
This year the Grand Marshal is newly elected Daytona Beach City Commissioner, Kelly White.

There are many wonderful benefits of living in Florida, but one of my absolute favorites, especially this time of the year, is when my Orchid's reward me for taking care of them all year long, with the most amazing blooms and spectacular color!!
These plants are outside, in my screened pool area, and seem to thrive in that climate and locale. They are especially beautiful this year, and I wanted to share them with you!
