FHA MORTGAGE LOAN CHANGES - 02/15/11 04:05 PM
FHA CHANGES!  Please be advised that effective April 18th, 2011 the monthly amount of mortgage insurance (MI) is going up for FHA loans.  Currently, it is factored at .90 bps and will be increasing to 1.15 bps.  Based on the loan scenerio shown below, for a $100,000 purchase that means a monthly increase of $20.31. 
Loan Scenario:
Purchase price   :       $ 100,000 putting 3.5% down   = $96,500  +  Upfront MIP at 1% =  $965.00      
                                                      Old monthly MI factor (.90)        New monthly MI factor effective 4/18 (1.15)Financing :  $97,465 (includes UFMIP)           $73.09/mth                                      $93.40/mth

In Pennsylvania we seem to have a lot of radon.  I received this "radon report" from HouseMasters, a home inspection company in the Hershey area and thought I would share it.  Often our buyers and sellers have no REAL idea about what radon is or what it means to them personally.
