One may ask, "How did you see GOOGLE?"   It must have been my lucky day....leaving my real estate office with a couple of my agent friends...on our way to an agent open house......and viola'.....there she was...
                    
So, I can say "I saw GOOGLE today".  Now, after reading this, you can say "I saw GOOGLE today", too.

Sales Tax Holiday - Tax Free Weekend in SC - 2011
The annual Sales Tax Holiday, or tax free weekend in SC will be held August 5 thru Aug 7, 2011. 
The purpose of this holiday is to help familes prepare for school, and equates to shoppers getting a tax break on school supplies.
Sales tax in SC is 6%, plus local option tax of 2.5% (1% local option sales tax, 1.5% transportation tax) for Charleston county.
If you spend $100 this weekend on school supplies,  you will only pay $100.  No tax will be added to your final bill.  That would be a savings of $8.50.
