It's Veterans Day!The banks are closed, schools are open and for the most part nobody thinks of it...it takes a back seat to Memorial Day because most people feel that they honor the same thing when in fact they don't...Before I get into the difference, I would like to explain what I typically do the night before Veterans Day...well, I do almost the same thing the night before Memorial day...

dallas va loan: Do you need you need to use the builders lender? - 11/06/07 02:44 PM

I've been hearing this question a lot lately.
Homebuyers that we have pre-approved are coming back saying that the builder is requiring them to use the builders lender.
Well, they legally can't force you to use their lender but they can give incentives to use them.
This isn't a problem unless the builders lender doesn't provide the same programs.
I specialize in Texas Veteran Home Loans and many of the builders do not provide all of these programs.

Are you afraid of VA loans? Scared that the appraisal may come in low? Frightened that the loan process will be too slow? Worried about an out of state lender?
Since I became a preferred lender for the Military Housing Assistance Fund, I get to deal with selling agents in the many states that I work in. I usually receive a phone call from the selling agent before the contract is accepted asking me many questions and doubting my ability to close the loan on time or possible problems with the VA appraisal.
