Veterans from the state of Texas can be delighted of the fact that their Texas Vet loan program vigorously supports green issues.The Texas Veteran Land Board has a history of the preservation of our geological reserves . One of the ways that this support can be evidenced is in the superiority and energy proficiency of the Texas home loans that it approves. Therefore, effective January 1, 2007, all new-construction homes financed through the Texas Veterans Housing Assistance Program (VHAP) must meet the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) guidelines for ENERGY STAR suitable homes.
