It's time for me to vent a little bit.
With an estimated nearly 11,000,000 homeowners now underwater on their mortgages you would think that the Governments Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternative program would be helping.  You would think that by now this HAFA program would be helping people all across the country get out of their financial bind.  You would think with the Billions of dollars thrown at this crisis that people are being helped.
WELL THINK AGAIN!!  So far the HAFA program has helped 661 people accomplish a Short Sale.  These figures come from this CNBC article.

California's Central Valley - So close to Yosemite and Frazil Ice - You have to see this! - 01/24/11 08:52 PM
One of the great things about living here in the Central Valley of California is how close we are to some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.  I have heard people say this all of my life but I don't think I really appreciated it until recently.  People come from all over the world to see things right here in my backyard.  One my favorites is Yosemite National Park. How to beat the winter Blahs in California's Central Valley - 01/23/11 01:30 PM
 
I love living here in the Central Valley of California.  There is one thing that I don't like though.  We are well known here for our Tule Fog.  Of course if we are experiencing Tule Fog that means that we are probably having a wet winter which is a very good thing.  Sometimes though you just want to see the sun and living here in the Central Valley it is not that hard to get out of the fog and see the sun.

This afternoon I watched a live broadcast from the Certified Distressed Property Institute featuring Kimberly Dawson who is a BofA short sale executive.  Bank of America is starting their new "Cooperative Short Sale" program.
Ms. Dawson admitted that the Bank of America short sale process has been flawed and hard to deal with in the past.  Bank of America is now working harder than ever to streamline the short sale process.

Turlock Ca and The Carnegie Libraries - Rising from the Ashes! - 01/19/11 07:02 PM
The picture of the building to the right is the old Turlock Library.  This was one of over 2500 libraries built with funds from Andrew Carnegie.  He was the founder of Carnegie Steel Company which later became U.S. Steel 
Mr. Carnegie funded the building of these "Carnegie Libraries"from 1883 to 1929. Most of the libraries were built in the United States but others were also built in Britian, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zeland and elsewhere.

As a Central Ca Short Sale Specialist I answer questions about short sales all the time.  One that I have gotten a few times recently is can I short sell my house to my relative/friend then rent it back from them?  I had a friend ask me this the other day because that is what a friend of hers is doing and she said her Realtor said to do it.

Being a Central Ca Short Sale Specialist is not all work and no play.  Every once in a while I need to get away for a day and decompress.  One of the great things about living in the central Valley of California is that we are so close to some great things. 
This past Saturday was one of those days for me to get away.  Just a short drive from the Central Valley is Half Moon Bay Ca.  Half Moon bay is located about 30 miles south of San Francisco.

If you are thinking about buying a Central Ca Short Sale I am sure you have heard all the horror stories.  It seems like everyone has a friend, relative or friend of a friend that can tell you all about Short Sales. 
While a short sale still does not usually live up to it's name, things are getting better.  I have seen short sale approvals in as little as a week with some banks.
