advertising: 11 MORE SHOPPING DAYS - 12/12/10 10:21 AM
Wow, coming down to the wire! Christmas and New Years around the corner. budgets, sales and family and then there is the meaning of Christmas.  So going back in time here is a link to a six minute video that is as worth watching today as it was when it came out in the '60's! Especially as we go froward take a minute to reflect. As I started to pull into the parking lot I noticed a blue light in the rear view mirror. "Damn...now I'll really be late." … (9 comments)

advertising: Where Does Business Come From? - 04/03/07 08:52 AM
I track my source of leads. Logging each...referrals, sign calls, floor calls, internet, etc. Partly from curiosity and partly from wanting to concentrate my advertising dollars where they do the most good.
In my case I find (as I am sure many others do) I spend the largest percentage of $$ (about 52%) on print advertising which garners about 11% of my leads (rephrase that... of my closings). My inclination is to cut the 52% back to about 15%. I think some advertising is necessary for a "presence" and some may actually result in other leads... Jake refers Karen because he saw … (2 comments)
