The other morning I read an unusual yet not uncommon story about a homeowner in Detroit, MI, who abandoned his underwater mortgage in a nice suburb in favor of an apartment. In life, we have the glass half empty and the glass half full people. I am an optimist, even in a state that is now known for foreclosures, as well as sunshine, oranges, and Disneyworld.
