trulia: Trulia is Now Resorting to Spoofing Phone Numbers - 04/10/12 07:48 AM
If you are like me, you know that a call from the 206 area code that you don't recognize is often a Zillow solicitation and one from area code 415 is Trulia. We've learned this over the years because of the barrage of calls we receive from their salespeople.

trulia: On ARG's Announcement to Pull Their Listings from Syndication - 01/27/12 05:48 PM
Inman news is reporting a Youtube announcement from ARG (Abbott Realty Group) that they are not  permitting their listings to be viewed on 3rd party syndicators such as Zillow, Trulia and even Realtor.com. The link is already behind Inman's paywall so I have embedded the video below. This comes in the wake of a similar announcement from midwest Giant Edina Realty's decision to do the very same thing this past November. Jim Abbott, broker and president of ARG, gives what I consider a very well reasoned explanation for his company's decision. You may not agree, but his explanation is compelling.

trulia: Funny Questions (and Answers) on Trulia - 11/24/10 04:26 AM
It sort of amuses me to see questions asked by people online these days, such as on Trulia Voices. I was inspired to comment on one with the "foreclosure mentality" of many buyers, but it was actually posted a long time ago. Everybody wants a foreclosure. The perception that they are a wonderful bargain is overblown, but you can't fight the tide. And the questions I see on Trulia Voices do amuse. Many of the answers are classic too. 
I want a foreclosure in <insert absurdly exclusive, wealthy suburbs here>! Why can't I find any? The answers are a bunch of agents screaming … (50 comments)
