wood ranch luxury homes: Journey to Hana - 05/31/12 01:37 PM
Last Tuesday's journey was The Road To Hana... indescribable is all I can say. Allyson and her Mom and Your Wood Ranch Realtor ventured out early in the morning and traveled the road and stopped at The Garden of Eden where our eyes feasted on gorgeous flowers, views of the ocean and waterfalls and purchased some things for ourselves. This was a very special place, one that on my previous Hana trips somehow bypassed me. I'm glad we found it this time. The oceanfront homes cannot compare to many of the Simi Valley properties but... location, location, location! Many of them were simple, some

wood ranch luxury homes: Your Wood Ranch Realtor is Loving Maui! - 05/25/12 04:18 PM
This trip for me is a journey, one that comes once a year. Thanks to my Broker/Owner/President who awards me this respite from the daily trials of real estate. Laying on the beach watching the waves on a Sunday... simple picture but great meaning... how about infinity, and strength, not to mention relaxation and timelessness. Yes, I get philosophical and the Hawaii shoreline makes me more so. Watching the waves is so calming and peaceful. I guess that's why people come here. But why not so in Southern California, near our Simi Valley homes and Wood Ranch luxury homes? I think because

wood ranch luxury homes: The Way to a Man's (or Woman's) Heart - 04/26/12 02:40 PM
I admit, I don't cook much anymore; my version of cooking in my Wood Ranch town home is to bake a couple of pieces of chicken, freeze them, microwave them at a later time, throw a baked potato in the microwave, tear up some lettuce and VOILA! An easy dinner. I bake very little anymore...except.... Once a month I bake dozens of cookies for my vendor referrals who live in Simi Valley properties. I decided four years ago to thank them for their referrals with a dozen cookies every now and then. You should see the assembly line... After I have

wood ranch luxury homes: It's All About Everyone! - 04/20/12 11:05 AM
When a buyer or seller always wants their way, it's sometimes difficult to let them know it's just not possible. If you do, they think you're not "on their side." However, contract is contract and you are just unable to change it at your whim. Doesn't matter what type of Simi Valley property it is. Everyone needs to work together. There is absolutely no doubt that I will do whatever is necessary (and more) for my buyers and sellers. Whatever it is, it must go the straight line and be per contract. It comes up as my buyers are in a

wood ranch luxury homes: Misconceptions of the Simi Valley Homes Market - 04/03/12 12:03 PM
I attended dance class last weekend and a couple of the parents asked me about the market. It is amazing to me that so many people are unaware of the turn in the market. A month or so ago it turned to a sellers' market! The parents and I chatted... very little for the buyers to choose... few Simi Valley homes to show. What homes there are, whether Simi Valley town homes or Wood Ranch luxury homes... if they are priced right. There are multiple offers and many of them are all cash on these Simi Valley properties. Buyers be aware that the low

wood ranch luxury homes: Can a Follow-Up Result in Instant Referrals? - 03/30/12 08:37 AM
This couple came to me as a referral. I had represented their son and his family several years ago in the sale of their home and a purchase of a move-up Simi Valley home. We'll call them Viola and John. They had come out to visit their children from back East a couple of years ago and their son called me to show them some Simi Valley properties. After all, the grandchildren are here and it was time to see them grow up, enjoy soccer, cheerleading and to babysit too. We looked at a few Wood Ranch town homes and a

wood ranch luxury homes: IT'S A SMALL WORLD! - 03/27/12 04:56 PM
I realized over the weekend how truly small the world is. I was at Costco with A.J. and Kyra, the loves of my life (my grandchildren). A lady was at the seafood counter buying lots of King crab legs. As I like people and will always find a way to open a conversation, I asked if she was buying enough for me for dinner!!! The lady was as friendly as I and said there was. As we chatted a minute or two more about mundane things, I brought out my business card and asked for business in the way of a referral for

wood ranch luxury homes: BALLET VERSUS REAL ESTATE! - 02/28/12 02:09 PM
As I sit here watching my precious granddaughter, Kyra, in her dance class, I notice nearby Simi East Valley properties that also house her friends in the class. I akin her dancing to the dance of real estate, a dance that we all get caught up doing. I love watching Kyra. A child of seven puts a smile on her face and tiptoes and looks as graceful as can be. She loves dancing and tells me she wants to dance on stage. I'll assist in her quest wherever I can!!! When we as adults dance with each other, there are times

wood ranch luxury homes: NETWORKNG -- THIS ONE IS SPECIAL - 02/16/12 01:07 PM
Now, I have to start at the beginning. A year ago, there was no group. It simply was a local pamphlet circulated around our area and picked up by residents of Simi Valley homes and it was called "Simply Girl Talk." I loved the publication, found a lot of helpful tips and quotes and facts that one would never have known if the publishers hadn't brought to my attention. Like "Did You Know...the lifespan of a tastebud is ten days?" Or recipes, inspirational thoughts and health tips. I advertised for about a year. In the meantime, Patty, the co-founder of

wood ranch luxury homes: Are You Ready? - 02/09/12 12:40 PM
The National Association of Realtors, economists around the country and other professionals are stating that 2012 is going to be the turnaround year for real estate. Not that the prices are going to skyrocket or interest rates will go lower... just that it's finally time for the market to slowly start to rebound. We here in Ventura County have seen that. Simi Valley properties are few and far between. When there are so many buyers out there and virtually no inventory, that means multiple offers and prices have to do something... they won't go up in any drastic way, but the prices

wood ranch luxury homes: Follow up on Loyalty - 01/30/12 11:39 AM
So, as a follow up to my post of a few days ago, this one really makes my heart swell! (Too dramatic?) But it really does. I track how and from where my business comes, and this particular client has made my day after the realization that she and I have actually been corresponding since 2008. Yep, she initially emailed me as a result of the new website I put out, thanks to the company near our office called RealtyTech. I received Ms. Buyer's email as she registered on my site. She was looking for Wood Ranch homes, she lives

wood ranch luxury homes: WOOD RANCH BUYERS - BEWARE OF THESE STATISTICS - 01/20/12 01:03 PM
I decided it was time to see if inventory is really as low as I really think it is. I took a couple of hours yesterday afternoon to conduct some heavy research in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), and I came up with some interesting stats. I concentrated on Wood Ranch homes. I could do the rest of Simi Valley properties as well... but this is a start. These numbers are approximate, so know sometimes I cannot count line by line very accurately (laughter). I pulled properties in Wood Ranch that would include Wood Ranch short sales, Wood Ranch foreclosures,

wood ranch luxury homes: LOYALTY, NOT DISAPPOINTMENT - 01/18/12 11:32 AM
I had an opportunity this past weekend to show Wood Ranch homes to a couple who are past clients. They have purchased and sold a number of properties, both Simi Valley homes and in the San Fernando Valley. I found a new listing we've talked about for them to purchase as a rental. At some point in the next couple of years they would sell their Wood Ranch luxury home and move into this listing. We viewed the listing and one or two others and they were excited about this community of highly upgraded Wood Ranch gated homes. We discussed several

wood ranch luxury homes: Ladies' Night Fun - 01/16/12 04:32 PM
A group of us get together every month, six to eight ladies, and we drink wine, eat appetizers we all brought, and play our favorite game of Skip-Bo. We gather at one or the other Simi Valley homes. That was last Tuesday night. Tonight it's Muvico with another few of my lady friends to eat, drink and see a movie in the VIP section. Why, you say, would I write a Blog about this? I guess it's again to discuss the balancing of life. Today, my schedule is so unbelievably overbooked that I'm taking one appointment at a time. Two clients are leaving

Oh joy, the holidays are here again! Wouldn't it be nice if we all felt that way? Unfortunately, some can feel overwhelmed and stressed. wood ranch luxury homes: Words From The Wiser Than Me!? - 06/22/11 07:45 PM
So, friends, at our office meeting this morning, discussing Simi Valley real estate, these comments by our lenders and President/Owner, Brian Troop, are worth noting: First, there is a new loan that is stated income, 40% down payment...call me for more info. Second, interest rates aren't going to last at these low rates forever!!! Simi Valley property isn't going anywhere! It is anticipated by one of our government officials that in two years, interest rates may rise to the mid 7% range...Simi Valley properties, Wood Ranch luxury real estate or those of you involved in Simi Valley relocation will find good

wood ranch luxury homes: National Association of Realtors - 05/16/11 04:05 PM
While I am an avid supporter of organized groups and I firmly believe they do substantial good when only one person can't accomplish the same...this morning at our weekly MLS meeting everyone got into a tizzy that the National Association of Realtors' dues will be going up next year by a whooping $40... Do you even realize what the NAR does for us. If I had to lobby for Simi Valley real estate, Wood Ranch homes, rally for Simi Valley land for sale, Wood Ranch gated homes or Wood Ranch luxury homes, write letters and conduct meetings with senators, congressmen, etc.,

wood ranch luxury homes: IS IT COMFORTABLE AT THE EDGE! - 12/22/10 11:33 AM
Simply said, Buyers need to own up to the fact that being at the edge of the cliff may be daunting. So, what to do? Jump into Simi Valley real estate...NOW!Yes, jump, I said! What are you waiting for? Interest rates to go down more. Prices to drop? Not with Simi Valley homes, Wood Ranch luxury homes or anything of the type here in Simi Valley. Let me tell you, folks, that being on the edge is no fun. Being on the edge is being indecisive. Being on the edge is procrastination. And being on the edge when deciding to buy

wood ranch luxury homes: WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? - 11/01/10 06:35 PM
Oh, my gosh, I started thinking the other day about all my friends who have children of echo boomer age -- 18 to 31 -- who are still either living at home in a Wood Ranch luxury home or renting a high-priced ridiculous apartment somewhere in Simi Valley or a house with a gizillion other echo boomers... Wait a minute! It is predicted that in 18 months there will be 80 Million of these echo boomers looking for a Simi Valley home or elsewhere for a house. And guess what!!!??? There will be shortage of Simi Valley real estate listings for them and that

wood ranch luxury homes: Be Impeccable With Your Word! - 10/18/10 11:46 AM
I have just finished reading the book, "The Four Agreements" that brings me to this Blog. If I would have read this book years ago, how much easier I think life would have been. but we all know that life's lessons come at strange times. Whether it has to do with Simi Valley real estate or Wood Ranch luxury homes, lessons are always there This strange time came when our broker/president on our weekly Conference Call reminded me of his motto, "My Word Is My Bond." A lead balloon hit me in my mind...there are a few things in our lives
