Every month for the last 2-1/2 years, I bake several dozen cookies for delivery to a group of small business owners who live and work around Simi Valley properties and to whom I refer business. I visit my locksmith, termite inspector, printer, veterinarian, the appliance store and about 10 or 15 others.
It's really a funny assembly line at my own Wood Ranch home as I mix the batter, watch the oven, drop the cookies on the sheets and stuff them into the two cookie tins that I've had for an eternity. Then they go to the office and my assistant counts them … (0 comments)

Thanksgiving weekend was absolutely gorgeous in Southern California and
specifically, Ventura County and Simi Valley! 80 degrees both Saturday and
Sunday and I spent several hours both days visiting past clients and delivering
holiday gifts to their Simi valley homes.
What fun it was to see the children who want to show me their freshly decorated bedrooms
in their beautiful Wood Ranch townhomes and the moms who insist that I sit in the newly
remodeled kitchen for a cup of coffee. Some clients even feed me a slice of
their homemade pie or a new holiday recipe!

Walking out of my nail appointment last week and seeing 15-20 women sitting at the local Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Shop took me by surprise. Two of the ladies caught my eye and we seemed to connect and we chatted for just a minute. If you think home prices are going down...think again!!! Simi Valley properties, including Simi Valley condos, and Simi Valley real estate listings in general are not! I really don't believe they will and I also don't believe the banks are going to send a glut of foreclosure properties into our market. They would be foolish to do that.

Definitely a rise in Simi Valley bank owned homes. It is truly unfortunate that consumers are in this position. On the other hand, Wood Ranch homes, the community in Simi Valley bordering Thousand Oaks, has seen fewer "reos." In general, a Simi Valley home in the Wood Ranch real estate market, will be priced higher and if we see many of those houses for sale in Wood Ranch, that will tell us the higher income earner is also losing their Wood Ranch homes. Boy, are we seeing a flurry of activity in real estate recently, especially from the Buyers. Not only are we seeing them out there making offers but we are seeing multiple offers on many Simi Valley homes. Simi Valley real estate has some "fixers" that are soooo bad that a Buyer could not possibly compete on those with contractors...but the real estate market has certainly shifted all around Simi Valley including Wood Ranch Real Estate and the hills around!
