wood ranch town homes: Fly Away Friday! - 05/23/12 03:57 PM
How excited we were, Allyson and I, to know that we would have a nice and relaxing stay in Maui. I'm writing this on the plane and you'll see this post next week. Goodbye for now Simi Valley Real Estate! Sure, we had to awaken at 4:00 a.m. (ugh) to be ready for a 9:00 a.m. flight, but it was worth it. We would arrive before Noon and have the whole day at the pool. Unfortunately, American Airlines (not my first choice) had other plans for us. Having left my Wood Ranch home after 5:00 and on my way to get

wood ranch town homes: My Favorite BBQ Restaurant in Simi Valley - 05/22/12 04:24 PM
Mmmmm, I am a lover of beef ribs and a few nights ago I decided to enjoy some at my favorite Simi Valley restaurant, Red's BBQ and Grillery. Located at the far side of Central shopping, restaurants and Simi Valley homes, Red's food is always great. Red's and I go back a long time as my daughter managed there several years ago before she moved close by in her Simi Valley town home. My friend and I would walk across the street for Red's Chinese Chicken Salad and lots of delicious rolls, and the salad was a whooping $6.99! Many Friday or

wood ranch town homes: COME CELEBRATE WITH ME! - 05/18/12 10:49 AM
Okay, so yesterday was my birthday and I'm going far away from my Simi Valley homes, Wood Ranch luxury homes and my physical office. I'm celebrating by going to Maui tomorrow on the Troop Top Producers' Trip! I'm taking Allyson, too, as she deserves the reward as well! The cell phone still works, the iPad is with me and my assistant... heck, we can have an office in Maui! Yeah, right... dream on, Jo Ann... my Simi Valley home sellers would have something to say about that! Back to reality. So what do birthdays and real estate in general or, Simi Valley real

wood ranch town homes: Do Simi Valley Properties and Wine Have Something in Common? - 05/09/12 09:25 AM
My last post talked about the flavors of wine...aromatic, cherries, herbs. This post will educate you with a flair and comparison to Simi Valley homes. Some of the wines are grown with the vines very closely planted, or with very high density, as in the High Density Hilltops Syrah. Lots of vines per acre, low sunlight, short pruning to limit growth, unfathomable concentration, but with balance. So how does this type of grape vine compare to some Simi Valley properties? Think about some of the Simi Valley properties in some of the communities in West Simi Valley and Wood Ranch

wood ranch town homes: Taste It First How??? - 05/03/12 02:17 PM
My last post talked about traveling from my Wood Ranch town home to Los Olivos with my lady friends to wine taste at Stolpman's Tasting Room. We had a nice lunch and now we're going to the tasting room for the "tastes." We met up with Carrie from Stoplman's and she seated us on the front patio under a gorgeous oak tree. I learned a short time ago that the first taste of wine should be with the top of the tongue as that is where the most sensitive taste buds are located...did you know that? The Grenache is savory and

Here I was sitting with my friends at the Wood Ranch Starbucks, where we see Wood Ranch town homes and Wood Ranch luxury homes... WOW, weather took a sudden turn -- check out the video... Dramatic climate changes...winds in an uproar, temperature dropping at least ten degrees...Southern California...love it -- tomorrow will be warm and sunny, dry and gorgeous... Call me to find that perfect Simi Valley property, even a Wood Ranch luxury home for you, 'cause wouldn't you want to live in Southern California? wood ranch town homes: The Way to a Man's (or Woman's) Heart - 04/26/12 02:40 PM
I admit, I don't cook much anymore; my version of cooking in my Wood Ranch town home is to bake a couple of pieces of chicken, freeze them, microwave them at a later time, throw a baked potato in the microwave, tear up some lettuce and VOILA! An easy dinner. I bake very little anymore...except.... Once a month I bake dozens of cookies for my vendor referrals who live in Simi Valley properties. I decided four years ago to thank them for their referrals with a dozen cookies every now and then. You should see the assembly line... After I have

wood ranch town homes: It's All About Everyone! - 04/20/12 11:05 AM
When a buyer or seller always wants their way, it's sometimes difficult to let them know it's just not possible. If you do, they think you're not "on their side." However, contract is contract and you are just unable to change it at your whim. Doesn't matter what type of Simi Valley property it is. Everyone needs to work together. There is absolutely no doubt that I will do whatever is necessary (and more) for my buyers and sellers. Whatever it is, it must go the straight line and be per contract. It comes up as my buyers are in a

wood ranch town homes: From My Heart to Yours, Simi Valley! - 04/17/12 09:58 AM
Every month for the last 2-1/2 years, I bake several dozen cookies for delivery to a group of small business owners who live and work around Simi Valley properties and to whom I refer business. I visit my locksmith, termite inspector, printer, veterinarian, the appliance store and about 10 or 15 others. It's really a funny assembly line at my own Wood Ranch home as I mix the batter, watch the oven, drop the cookies on the sheets and stuff them into the two cookie tins that I've had for an eternity. Then they go to the office and my assistant counts them

wood ranch town homes: Misconceptions of the Simi Valley Homes Market - 04/03/12 12:03 PM
I attended dance class last weekend and a couple of the parents asked me about the market. It is amazing to me that so many people are unaware of the turn in the market. A month or so ago it turned to a sellers' market! The parents and I chatted... very little for the buyers to choose... few Simi Valley homes to show. What homes there are, whether Simi Valley town homes or Wood Ranch luxury homes... if they are priced right. There are multiple offers and many of them are all cash on these Simi Valley properties. Buyers be aware that the low

wood ranch town homes: Can a Follow-Up Result in Instant Referrals? - 03/30/12 08:37 AM
This couple came to me as a referral. I had represented their son and his family several years ago in the sale of their home and a purchase of a move-up Simi Valley home. We'll call them Viola and John. They had come out to visit their children from back East a couple of years ago and their son called me to show them some Simi Valley properties. After all, the grandchildren are here and it was time to see them grow up, enjoy soccer, cheerleading and to babysit too. We looked at a few Wood Ranch town homes and a

wood ranch town homes: IT'S A SMALL WORLD! - 03/27/12 04:56 PM
I realized over the weekend how truly small the world is. I was at Costco with A.J. and Kyra, the loves of my life (my grandchildren). A lady was at the seafood counter buying lots of King crab legs. As I like people and will always find a way to open a conversation, I asked if she was buying enough for me for dinner!!! The lady was as friendly as I and said there was. As we chatted a minute or two more about mundane things, I brought out my business card and asked for business in the way of a referral for

wood ranch town homes: CAN YOU HELP YOUR CHILD? - 03/05/12 01:39 PM
I read an article this weekend about baby boomers putting up the money for their kids' down payment for home ownership. No equity share, no payback, no questions asked. How great is that?! Stimulate housing by helping the first-time home buyer into the market, get the middle market moving up and allow the downsizing for the baby boomer and the "older" generation and beyond. I saw it first hand today. I was out visiting clients in Wood Ranch homes and other areas of Simi Valley that I sold and one couple whose daughter may be moving back to California from the East is a prime

wood ranch town homes: NETWORKNG -- THIS ONE IS SPECIAL - 02/16/12 01:07 PM
Now, I have to start at the beginning. A year ago, there was no group. It simply was a local pamphlet circulated around our area and picked up by residents of Simi Valley homes and it was called "Simply Girl Talk." I loved the publication, found a lot of helpful tips and quotes and facts that one would never have known if the publishers hadn't brought to my attention. Like "Did You Know...the lifespan of a tastebud is ten days?" Or recipes, inspirational thoughts and health tips. I advertised for about a year. In the meantime, Patty, the co-founder of

wood ranch town homes: Follow up on Loyalty - 01/30/12 11:39 AM
So, as a follow up to my post of a few days ago, this one really makes my heart swell! (Too dramatic?) But it really does. I track how and from where my business comes, and this particular client has made my day after the realization that she and I have actually been corresponding since 2008. Yep, she initially emailed me as a result of the new website I put out, thanks to the company near our office called RealtyTech. I received Ms. Buyer's email as she registered on my site. She was looking for Wood Ranch homes, she lives

wood ranch town homes: WOOD RANCH BUYERS - BEWARE OF THESE STATISTICS - 01/20/12 01:03 PM
I decided it was time to see if inventory is really as low as I really think it is. I took a couple of hours yesterday afternoon to conduct some heavy research in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), and I came up with some interesting stats. I concentrated on Wood Ranch homes. I could do the rest of Simi Valley properties as well... but this is a start. These numbers are approximate, so know sometimes I cannot count line by line very accurately (laughter). I pulled properties in Wood Ranch that would include Wood Ranch short sales, Wood Ranch foreclosures,
