The Mid-Currituck Bridge: It Ain't Over Til It's Over - 01/31/12 11:14 AM

 
This a sample of what we could be seeing in a few short years. Much to the surprise of many locals the Final Enviromental Impact Study for the Mid-Currituck Bridge was released last month and everything still seems to be a go. The FEIS which was due out last September arrived about 4 months late, but it arrived just the same.
The next step for the soon to be 7 miles bridge across the sound is the "Record of Decision" scheduled to happen some time between April & June. From there actual construction should begin before this year is … (1 comments)

Here in Carova, NC the tides are an important part of our daily like. For most coastal communities knowing the tides is helpful for people boating or fishing, here it is important for driving. Since getting anywhere commercial from even the closest house requires a 2 mile drive on the beach itself, it can be very advantageous to know when low tied is so you can drive on the smooth hard packed sand rather than the dry sugar sand that Carova is well known for.

Here in Carova, NC the tides are an important part of our daily like. For most coastal communities knowing the tides is helpful for people boating or fishing, here it is important for driving. Would you make your client an Admin of their listings Facebook page? - 01/03/12 05:36 AM
One of the things That I do to get the word out on a new listing is creat a Facebook Fan Page for that listing and encourage my seller client to "Like" it. Some do and some don't. To try and get them more motivated to use this medium to Spread The Word, I have been thinking of actually makeing them an admin of the page. The idea seems harmless enough, but I was wondering what your thoughs were out there. Is there a negative to makeing you seller client an admin of their listing's Facebook Fan Page? The Carova Beach Volunteer Fire Department hosted their first annual New Year's Eve Party and rung in the 2012 with their own version to the famous Ball Drop. Even int the middle of winter there are things to do and see on the Outer Banks.
