I've spent the bulk of my over 27 years in the real estate business, listing/selling in small rural areas which translates to usually having both sides of the transaction.  Occasionally I have to deal with a "big city" agent who thinks they are above the rest because they're some bored rich housewife who got into real estate to grace the rest of us with their presence. 
O.k. I made that last part up as I don't know that's why they started selling real estate but that's how they act.

Have you ever signed papers on a listing where the price was just too good to be true and you had to bite your tongue and sit on your hands to keep from buying the place yourself? 
I've been called several times over the past 3 weeks about listing a home.  Every time we'd make an appointment, she'd call to cancel and reschedule for another day, all the while talking my ear off about how she had to sell this house NOW.  Finally after 3 weeks of scheduling and rescheduling and hours of listening to her drone over and over … (1 comments)

Promises Promises aka A Reason To Lose Your License - 03/02/10 09:34 PM
Have you ever sold a property where the owners made verbal promises that you've passed along to the buyers agent, only to have your sellers develop selective amnesia when it comes time to fulfill those promises? 
If you've been in real estate long, I'd say you're sitting there shaking your head yes to this question. 
What about a sellers agent who tells you and your buyers over and over that those great Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances and most of the light fixtures have only been removed temporarily and put into storage but will be placed back in the property just before … (3 comments)
