Being a busy working professional, it is sometimes difficult to come up with creative family dinners on the fly. I thought I would share my favorite (and quickest) recipe with you and invite everyone to share their own. As a mother of two teenage boys, I am always looking for ways to simplify my life. This particular recipe was shared with me by a little old Italian woman. The funny story behind this is that she did not want to share it with the church cookbook because she harbored some resentment toward the coordinator. I am super glad that she chose to share her "secret recipe" with me. I whip it up in no time after having a long day of staging, redesigning, painting or whatever life has thrown my way that day. I promise you that this recipe is better than anything I've eaten anywhere. Including all fine dining establishments. You will thank me... I promise!
I would love to try favorite time saving recipes from other professionals.
Fettucini Alfredo
Melt together in a saucepan:
1 Package Cream Cheese
1 Stick Butter/Margarine
Add:
1/2 Cup Milk (Adjust thickness with less or more)
1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
Serves 2-3. Easy to double or triple but does not reheat well without adding milk.
If using as a side dish, just pour over fettucini noodles. As a meal you may add cooked chicken breast, shrimp etc.
Total prep time is less than 20 minutes when starting noodles at the same time.
Enjoy!
