Many people in my experience love to DIY. Many more fancy themselves as DIY experts. There is no doubt with each finished project comes more confidence in ones abilities. Sometimes it’s over confidence.
Now I have no issue with anyone putting on a tool belt and tackling a home project. The thing I do have a problem with is when people delve into areas that absolutely should be left to the professionals. This would also include certain contractors as well.

Introductions are nice. You get to meet and exchange pleasantries. Then there is usually some conversation. I often wonder if the tradesman every meet and greet.  Better yet do they "do" lunch. What a nice way for them to get to know each other and their respective trades.
Here is a fine example of not knowing your fellow tradesman. The plumber or perhaps general contractor ran this pipe for the sump pump right in front of two electric panels. The hose was far enough from the main panel to get the door open...barely, but it's still too close.
