There are all kinds of photo editing software programs out there at different levels, some free and some not free. But an AWESOME free site for basic photo editing is Picnik. You don't have to join or set up an account if you don't want to. You can if you want, and take advantage of some great features. Or you can do what I do and simply use Picnik for quick and easy fixes of individual photos when you have a need. It's been a while since I wrote about one of my biggest pet peeves - horrible MLS photos! It always leaves me in shock and awe when I stumble across one of these doozies. I honestly can't imagine what goes through a person's head sometimes. It is no secret that the object of the photos is to showcase the best features of the home and give buyers a glimpse at the lifestyle. I was minding my own business doing an MLS search of high end homes for a prospective luxury buyer client. There are some nice homes on the market, and in the million dollar plus range there is high inventory and some great deals to be had in the Coeur d'Alene area real estate market. The luxury home niche happens to be my speciality. I love those big, beautiful homes and estates. My friends in Chattanooga posted their candidate for the worst MLS photo of the week. These photos are all to frequent, and truly make me feel like my head is going to explode! I can't even tell WHICH room in the house this is! I thought about challenging them, but after a look at their photo, decided to concede! You would think that there is NOTHING ELSE for anyone to talk about than the bailout decision or Palin fluff. I can't take it any more! While I wait for the sky to fall in, I think I will take my mind off the doom and gloom by posting another photo from my collection of REALLY REALLY bad MLS photos. OK, I think it's time to share another terrible property marketing photo. This one is so bad it's not funny, except that the caption of the photo "New Carpet" makes it hilarious! It's a good thing we have this photo to show us how nice the new carpet looks, don't you think? It's a dreary and drizzly day today after an amazing run on simply glorious days here in spectacular North Idaho. Seems like a good time to post a couple photos from my collection of horrible property photos. I actually came across a guy somewhere online who created a visual tour of bad photos. I think he used this as a listing tool, probably took a visual tour disc or played his tour for potential sellers to illustrate the importance of GOOD PHOTOGRAPHY to successfully market a property.
