Here is a great article written by my friend, Melissa Zavala. There is nothing wrong with doing a loan modification in Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Kootenai County and beyond! A great resource for Idahoans is Foreclosure Prevention and Foreclosure Scams. Published by the Idaho Attorney General, it will help you navigate wisely through the challenging process of loan modification and foreclosure prevention. loan modification: SNEAKY.....BANK OF AMERICA.......LOAN MODS.......... TAKES THE CAKE........... - 06/10/10 12:29 PM
The following blog post caught my eye this morning as I was preparing a new short sale listing contract. My new client is a family man who has tried in frustration for months to modify his mortgage. The story he tells of his exercise in frustration unfortunately is all too common. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't hear a similar story. It is disheartening to watch good people attempt to do everything within their power to make the best of a bad situation NOT of their making, and be treated this way. Via Richie Naggar Ran Right

loan modification: Is The FDIC Killing Short Sales and Loan Modifications in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho? - 10/04/09 08:57 PM
Is The FDIC Killing Short Sales and Loan Modifications in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho? My blogging friend Robert Hertzog in Phoenix spent a couple days researching the information on this eye-opening post about how the FDIC policies are actually working COUNTER PRODUCTIVE to distressed homeowners attempting loan modifications and short sales. EVERYONE who is involved in short sales - sellers, buyers, Realtors - are trying to make sense of the outrageous response times, apparent lack of motivation to get a deal done and the general bumbling of files in progress. This article is the FIRST THING that makes any sense of it all.

loan modification: Loan Modification scams, Operation Loan Lies and a ding on your credit report! - 08/20/09 10:33 PM
Loan Modification scams, frustrations, Operation Loan Lies - and now a ding on your credit report! In spite of the federal government's efforts to ease loan modification procedures for people trying to hold onto their houses, the majority of eligible homeowners have been unsuccessful in receiving modifications. USA Today recently ran a story about the efforts of the Treasury to prod banks to move faster. According to the Treasury Department, only 9% of eligible homeowners who are delinquent have obtained mortgage modifications under a federal program to prod lenders to step up their pace. The report lists the number of modifications by 36 lenders since the Obama administration

loan modification: Beware of Loan Modification Companies, Do it Yourself and Save Thousands! - 11/28/08 09:00 AM
The latest hot topic in the real estate business is Loan Modifications. Homeowners need to be very cautious because a lot of unscrupulous businesses are springing up that offer consumers help with their loan modifications. They charge homeowners a pricy fee of $3,000 or even more to do what you can do for yourself. I've heard some folks claim that lenders are intentionally making loan modifications confusing. Some think it's an effort to discourage applications. If you're considering a loan modification, the first thing you should do is pick up the phone and call your lender to find out if you qualify. If you do
