thanksgiving: Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I'm counting my blessings instead of sheep! - 11/25/10 02:37 AM

As Thanksgiving approached this year, I worried and wondered what it would look like, considering the weight loss journey I am on. My meals consist exclusively of meal replacement shakes and bars, reminiscent of what I imagine astronaut space food might be. I've been on the Optifit program for 7 weeks of a 12 week program and have been determined to stay the course.

This morning I was the first one up, and headed to the front door to get the newspaper. I opened my door to the quiet white world of softly falling snow that made a surprise appearance overnight. I thought, "How pretty, it really is beginning to feel like Thanksgiving around here!" I found my camera and snapped a picture of the scene. This is what it looked like this morning in North Idaho.

Last week I had a really bad day. I decided that for an attitude adjustment I needed to count my blessings by writing down all the things I have to be thankful for. I filled an entire page before I realized that nowhere on my list was a single material thing that money can buy! It was all about the people I love, and who love me, and who give me a reason to get up every morning. I am so richly blessed!
