clean air: New Study shows Air Pollution RISING in Park City - 08/25/08 04:20 PM
Park City has always been known as a great resort community with CLEAN mountain air! A new study, however, shows that Park City's air pollution is on the rise. Summit county residents need to get on board to nip this problem in the but before it becomes worse. Salt Lake City has some of the worst winter air quality, and Park City residents need to take steps to prevent our great community from getting the same problem that Salt Lake has.

Several times in the past couple of months, Areas of Utah have been rated as having some of the WORST air quality in the country. This is due to our inversions, and also to the high rate of pollution in some of our cities. Salt Lake County, Utah County and the Logan/Cache Valley areas get these inversions. Next time your house smells stale, try one of these ideas instead of spraying chemicals in the air you breathe.
1) Place cloves, cinnamon sticks, allspice or other favorite scented spice in a pot of water , simmer for 1-2 hours 2) Put a few slices of leftover orange or lemon rinds in a pot of water, simmer for 1-2 hours 3) Place baking soda in an open container of your choice. Good for closets, refrigerators and other small enclosed spaces 4) 2-3 slices of white bread absorbs refrigerator odors 5) Place lemon slices in an open bowl in the kitchen … (4 comments)
