In the city of La Mesa, CA and it surrounding areas of Spring Valley and El Cajon, there are many homes that feature amazing views of valleys, ocean, and city lights.
I happen to live on the hill of the old Hartzel Ranch and La Mesa Country Club subdivision and I can see Santa Sophia church in the Valley De Oro area of Casa de Oro and the evening lights of Tijuana and the the backside of Mt. Miguel and Dictionary Hill aka. "Look Out Mountain".
