Washington Excise Tax and the Active Military - 01/28/08 02:05 PM
Washington's real estate excise tax is among the highest in the nation, and anyone who has participated in the purchase or sale of real property likely knows of the process or at least remembers seeing it listed as a line item somewhere in the transaction.  In Washington this tax can be found under RCW 82.45 and 82.46.

Potential New Seller Disclosures for the State of Washington: - 01/25/08 06:32 PM
Well it's that time of year again, where we can turn to the Capitol Campus in Olympia to see what new changes might be on the horizon for real estate professionals.  This year there are already three bills introduced regarding additional seller disclosures for the State of Washington.
HB 2706 - Disclosure of nearby hunting lands
Perhaps my favorite new disclosure can be found under HB 2706.  In addition to the current farm notice that is required under RCW 64.06.022 sellers would now be required to give the following notice as well.  I think the wording is unique as it seems to defend … (5 comments)
