On Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM a lot will be happening in downtown Zephyrhills, Florida. Officially the event is called Music and Motorcyles, but includes a lot more.
At 2:00 PM there will be a Veterans Parade to honor those citizens that have served our country in its military over the years. From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM there will be judging of motorcycles in 12 different classes. Registration for this competition will take place from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Hard to believe, but a year has gone by, and I wanted to let you know that the San Antonio Rattlesnake Festival in San Antonio, Florida will take place on October 17th and 18th of 2009. San Antonio, Florida just to the north of Tampa and a couple of miles east of Interstate 75 in the hills of Pasco County.

I had a call today from a potential seller who had found me via an internet search. He lives out-of-state and had some questions he wanted to ask. The very first one was, "How many listing do you currently have?" He seemed to put great importance on this fact.

Average Mortgage Interest Rates Mostly Unchanged says Freddie Mac - 09/24/09 06:54 PM
Today, 9/24/09, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 5.04% (5.01% in the southeast), unchanged from a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.46%, down slightly from 4.47% last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 6.09%.  
Interest rates remain low and mortgage applications rose 12.8% during the week of September 18th. This was the most activity since last May, much of it due to refinancing of old mortgages.

Still No Hurricanes On the Horizon for Florida in 2009 - 09/22/09 02:29 PM
We are nearly 4 months into the 2009 hurricane season here, and so far we have had no problems at all. It has been a rainier summer than in the past, but that is good. Our aquifers are low, and the rain we have received is much appreciated.
Let us hope that we make it through this year with no major storms hitting our state. That could encourage more insurance companies to offer policies and could possibly lower rates. Who knows? But no hurricanes is a very, very good thing.

For 3 Straight Weeks Average Mortgage Interest Rates Drop - 09/17/09 12:47 PM
Today, 9/17/09, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 5.04% (5.04% in the southeast), down from 5.07% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.47%, down from 4.50% last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 5.78%. The last time the interest rate for 30 year loans was lower than today's was back in May of this year when it was just under 5%.

Previously I have posted articles on Hillsborough River State Park and the Pasco County Park System. They are wonderful natural resources for us to enjoy that cost little or nothing, and are located within a short distance from where we live. What more could we want?

Fixed-Rate Mortgage Interest Down Again and Even Closer to 5% Point - 09/10/09 01:31 PM
Today, 9/10/09, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 5.07% (5.03% in the southeast), down from 5.08% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.50%, down from 4.54% last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 5.93%.
Not much of a drop, but at least moving in the right direction and is certainly better than going up. Applications for mortgages went up 17% over the week ending September 4th. Part of this was helped by people refinancing to get the benefits of lower rates. Almost 3 … (4 comments)

Even though CENTURY 21 is a well-known real estate franchise, it is hard to believe how many people call me and than ask "Now where is your office located." We are located in a nicely remodeled auto parts store that, unfortunately, was painted grey and black. So we do not stick out very well as you go down State Road 54 to the west of Zephyrhills, Florida. County signage limitations also make it harder to see us than it should be. Downtown Dade City Main Street will host its Fall Antiques Faire on Saturday, September 26th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM  and Sunday, September 27th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the historic downtown area of the city. Freddie Mac: Average Mortgage Interest Rates for 30 Year Fixed-Rate Loans Near 5% - 09/03/09 12:27 PM
Today, 9/3/09, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 5.08% (5.05% in the southeast), down from 5.14% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.54%, down from 4.58% last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 6.35%.
The continued low interest rates have made homes affordable for a lot of people out there. According to the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) 7 of the top 8 most affordable months took place during this year. And they have been keeping track of home affordability since 1971.
