I just downloaded the Spring Schedules for the library branches on the east side of Pasco County, Florida. These include the Zephyrhills Library, the New River Library Branch in Wesley Chapel, and the Hugh Embry Library in Dade City. Lots of things happening in the months to come. Dade City Chamber of Commerce to Host Annual Golf Tournament on April 16, 2010 - 02/27/10 07:23 PM
The Dade City, Florida Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its Annual Joe Keifer Golf Tournament at the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club on April 16th of 2010.
It will be a four person scramble, with registration at 10:45 AM and a "shotgun start" at 11:45 AM.

Average Mortgage Interest Rates Back Above 5% Mark Again: Freddie Mac - 02/25/10 06:15 PM
Today 2/25/10, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 5.05% (5.02% in the southeast), up from 4.93% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.40%, up from 4.33% last week. A year ago the average 30 year rate was 5.07%.
Bond yields moved higher and interest rates followed their lead ending up just above the 5% mark again after some recent drops. Mortgage Interest Rates Go Even Lower Again and Stay Below 5% on Average - 02/18/10 07:28 PM
Today, 2/18/10,  Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.93% (4.91% in the southeast), down from 4.97% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.33%, down from 4.34% last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 5.04%.
Both Freddie Mac and the National Association of REALTORs (NAR) believe that the housing market is slowly recovering, this based on recent trends. Therefore, the interest rates on mortgage loans went down a bit more and remain under 5%, a very good rate indeed.

Average Mortgage Interest Rates Just Below 5% Once Again! - 02/11/10 07:33 PM
Today, 2/11/10,  Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.97% (4.93% in the southeast), down from 5.01% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.34%, down from 4.40% last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 5.16%.

Today 2/4/10, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 5.01% (5.01% in the southeast), up from 4.98% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.40%, up from 4.39% last week. A year ago the average 30 year rate was 5.25%.
Reports of an improving housing market helped to keep interest rates pretty much stable this week. Pending existing home sales bounced back in December after dropping in November.
