Average Mortgage Interest Rates Back Above 5% Mark Again: Freddie Mac - 02/25/10 06:15 PM
Today 2/25/10, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 5.05% (5.02% in the southeast), up from 4.93% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.40%, up from 4.33% last week. A year ago the average 30 year rate was 5.07%. Bond yields moved higher and interest rates followed their lead ending up just above the 5% mark again after some recent drops. Mixed economic signals (I sure to get tired of hearing that "mixed" linked to economic conditions. Don't you??) did not help. For example, the Producer Price Index went up, whie (0 comments)
Mortgage Interest Rates Go Even Lower Again and Stay Below 5% on Average - 02/18/10 07:28 PM
Today, 2/18/10, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.93% (4.91% in the southeast), down from 4.97% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.33%, down from 4.34% last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 5.04%. Both Freddie Mac and the National Association of REALTORs (NAR) believe that the housing market is slowly recovering, this based on recent trends. Therefore, the interest rates on mortgage loans went down a bit more and remain under 5%, a very good rate indeed. Last June the average interest rate (0 comments)
Price has been reduced for this wonderfully spacious 4 bedroom/2.5 bath double-wide mobile home with its 2,280 square feet of living space is located just west of Zephyrhills, Florida on an 1 acre lot on paved Allen Road. The home sets behind a large front yard that is partly fenced, and the gracious oak trees out front add to the tranquil feel of this setting. Plenty of space for parking and outdoor activities here. County water is connected to the home so no worries about well maintenance. The home has a huge living room with a vaulted ceiling and a corner (0 comments)
Now Just a Few Days Left to Apply for Your Florida Property's Homestead Exemption for 2010 - 02/12/10 06:24 PM
March 1, 2010 is just a few days away and if you qualify for and want to claim a Homestead Exemption for your permanent/principal residence here in Florida, you had "better get a move on". Your time is nearly up. If you bought a home in Florida last year, occupied it before 2009 ended, and it is your principal residence, you may qualify for a Homestead Exemption in your county. This could also be true if you owned a home here, used it for vacation purposes, but now have moved here permanently and are making it your main residence. The deadline (0 comments)

The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.34%, down from 4.40% last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 5.16%. For the third time in 2010 interest rates on 30 year fixed-rate loans dipped below 5%. This is helping a lot of people by making it possible to refinance their higher interest rate loans. Remember when 6% sounded great? Doesn't 5% sound better? Over the first weeks of 2010 two (0 comments)
Freddie Mac: Average Mortgage Interest Rates Just Edge Above 5% Again - 02/04/10 06:41 PM
Today 2/4/10, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 5.01% (5.01% in the southeast), up from 4.98% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.40%, up from 4.39% last week. A year ago the average 30 year rate was 5.25%.
