Price has been reduced again on this building lot on Forbes Road in Zephyrhills, Florida. It is located just to the south of Proud Mockingbird Road and north of the Lynbrook Drive turn-off. Average Mortgage Interest Rates Just Barely Stay Below 5% This Week - 03/25/10 02:06 PM
Today 3/25/10, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.99% (4.99% in the southeast), up from 4.96% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.34%, up from 4.33% last week. A year ago the average 30 year rate was 4.85%.
Bond Rates climbed higher and mortgage interest rates went along for the ride. However, for the 4th week in a row the average interest rate is below 5%!

Our snowbirds are still here and properties are selling quickly here in Zephyrhills. While much of the country is in the middle of the economic and meteorological doldrums, I am still working with many customers who are still in the area. Things may be slow up north, but not here in the Sunshine State.

Average Mortgage Interest Rates Hardly Move This Week - Remain Below 5% - 03/18/10 08:13 PM
Today 3/18/10, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.96% (4.94% in the southeast), up from 4.95% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.33%, up from 4.32% last week. A year ago the average 30 year rate was 4.98%.
The rates hardly changed at all this week. Not enough to really affect payments that one would make of a 15 year or 30 year fixed-rate loan.

Average Mortgage Interest Rates Drop Just a Little Bit More says Freddie Mac - 03/11/10 08:36 PM
Today, 3/11/10,  Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.95% (4.94% in the southeast), down from 4.97% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.32%, down from 4.33% last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 5.03%.
Mortgage interest rates dropped just a little more, again based on the forever present "mixed economic signals". Boy, I get tired of hearing that. Just once I would love to hear a government spokesperson say "based on CLEAR economic evidence"!

Home Buyer Tax Credit to End Soon: National Association of Home Builders - 03/09/10 07:01 PM
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) wants potential home buyers to be aware that they still have the opportunity to take advantage of the $8,000 first-time home buyer or $6,500 repeat buyer tax credits, as long as they act quickly—the credits expire on April 30, 2010.

Today, 3/4/10,  Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.97% (4.97% in the southeast), down from 5.05% a week ago. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.33%, down from 4.40% last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 5.15%.
Home affordability remains within the grasp of many due to the continued low levels of interest rates.
