This annual event is very popular and draws a large crowd in Dade City, Florida. Especially now that the schools are out for summer. They not only have a fireworks display after dark. But they also have tons of activities for the whole family to enjoy. These include:

dade city: Starting 2015 with Lower Mortgage Interest Rates

Yesterday, 1/8//2015, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgage was 3.73% down from 3.87% last week. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 3.05%, down from 3.15% last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 4.51%.
Freddie Mac's spokesperson said, "Mortgage rates fell to begin the year as 10-year Treasury yields slid beneath 2 percent for the first time in three
months. Meanwhile, the Fed minutes indicated ongoing discussion regarding the timing of the first rate hike. Of the few economic releases this week, ADP Research

Again this year the residents of Eastern Pasco County in Florida can enjoy the Fourth of July at the Pasco County Fairgrounds where Sparklebration 2013 will take place. The fairgrounds are located at 36722 State Road 52, just west of Dade City.
The gates will open at 12 Noon and activities will continue on into the night, with a fireworks display at 9:15 PM. There will be food, entertainment, and activities for the whole family. Some of which will include:

I was out with some customers today, and they were asking me about the property taxes on a home they were interested in. I mentioned what the millage was for the county, and they said they did not understand what that word meant. Millage is a part of the equation local governments use to determine how much property tax you are required to pay. Like millipede and millenium the first half of the word is related to "thousand". dade city: For First Time Since October 2011 Average Mortgage Interest Rates Cross Above 4%!

Today, 3/22/2012, Freddie Mac reported that the average mortgage interest rate for 30 year fixed-rate mortgages was 4.08%, up from 3.92% last week. The average interest rate for 15 year fixed-rate mortgages was 3.30%, up from 3.16% from last week. A year ago the 30 year rate was 4.81%. Those are still low numbers to be sure, but are not nearly as nice as they were just a week ago. One has to wonder if this is just a temporary blip or if they will continue to inch upward?

Our local 2012 Pasco County Fair will take place from February 20th to the 26th in Dade City, Florida. This local event is always popular with our year-round residents and our winter visitors. While others are shivering up north, we are walking down the midway under sunny skies and enjoying spring-like weather. This year it looks like we may have a lot of "summer" weather to make the fair even more pleasant!

This annual event in Dade City, Florida is always a crowd pleaser. Most of the residents of brick-paved Church Street decorate their homes and lawns for the holiday season. You will see enchanting houses, lots of luminaries, carolers and choral groups singing, and even hot chocolate. The weather is pleasantly cool in December here and the stroll will be very enjoyable.
Each evening from the 21st to the 23rd the stroll down Church Street will begin at 6:00 PM and end at 9:00 PM.
