Halloweenfest is a safe environment for KIDS of ALL ages to come and "Trick or Treat" at Canyon Lake. The event is controlled by the Comal County Sheriff's Department and the Hill Country REACT Organization.  Local businesses open their doors and don their Halloween best giving Canyon Lake Trick or Treaters the opportunity to have fun in a safe environment.

I am a Texan and part of being a Texan is living for Friday Night Lights!  What is that those of you not from Texas ask?  It is the glow of the stadium lights throughout Texas on a Friday night during the fall football season.  You can always tell where the next town is by the glow of those lights!

Comal Appraisal District Changing Reappraisal Method - 10/18/10 10:25 AM
  COMAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT CHANGING REAPPRAISAL METHOD.
In a recent New Braunfels Herald Zeitung article, the Comal County Appraisal District revealed that they will be changing their reappraisal methods for property taxes in 2012.  CAD will be reappraising one-third of the county each year in an effort to better focus its efforts on a smaller area and to issue a smaller number of reappraisal notices at a time.  Hopefully this will reduce the number of appraisal hearings following reappraisal.
The current method is to reappraise the entire county every three years and 2011 will be the last year that this method … (3 comments)

Easter Island Heads in Texas!
Just outside Kerrville Texas near Hunt is a replica of Stonehenge in a big field.  On either side of the Lone Star version of Stonehenge are two Easter Island Head replicas.  This is a fun place to stop and take photos with family and friends!
My son and I took a drive out to Hunt one Saturday and shot some fun photos and a few serious ones too!  Here are the heads in black and white!
