Happy New Year!!! I am particularly excited about 2011 because the ringing in of the New Year is also a ringing in of a new identity for me and my Texas Hill Country Real Estate firm. My mom and I are operating a virtual real estate company. We have the same agents and same great service, we just don't have the overhead of an office that was barely used by our agents who are all operating virtual as well. The end of 2009 has come and gone and it has been a different year for waterfront homes on Canyon Lake Texas. We are seeing longer days on market for properties that are not properly priced, we are seeing less sales in part because of the lack of second home market activity and because of the nearly impossible to get Jumbo financing. This morning I did not get to go on my daily power walk...if I had I might have ended up with some unwanted power in the form of a lightning strike!!! The most amazing light show was coming across the lake toward our home. You could tell by the wind and the smell of the air that rain was imminent, but it was easy to be skeptical about the actual amount of rain we might get because of our record drought that is plaguing our area. At about 7:00am the sky opened up and the most incredible downpour began..."yeah, okay...just like (6 comments)
