online marketing: My first attempt at a video blog...I think it went well! - 08/25/09 03:52 PM
My first attempt at a video blog...I think it went well! Last week I attended a webinar that my company put on about building your real estate business using video blog and I decided to give it a shot. I watched what other agents were doing online and last week while at our board of REALTORS golf tournament, I decided to hand my Flip video camera over to my 12 year old son and told him to point it at me with the green in the background and I did a two minute video blog about TREPAC and the Landa Park golf (6 comments)
online marketing: Domain Name Extravaganza...But I Still Remember My First... - 07/16/09 05:57 PM
I am now officially the proud owner of 20 domain names...but I still remember my first...so many years ago when I took the plunge and bought that first website...when the internet was new. It went something like this: A "Doogie Houser" type techno-geek kid trying desparately to sell a rural country REALTOR her first website. What he didn't know what that I was already committed to buying his product and he didn't really have to work so hard. As fate would have it, I hadn't even thought about what my domain name would be and what I didn't know was (33 comments)
online marketing: You need to make Active Rain a part of your plan! - 06/17/09 10:24 PM
I had the privelege of spending the day with EXIT Realty President of US Operations Tami Bonnell and EXIT Realty International's Technology Guru, Jeff Lobb. I am the broker/owner of EXIT Hill Country Realty and one of the things that I love about EXIT Realty is that the leadership all the way to the top is real and in touch with their franchisees, brokers, regional owners and agents. We see the CEO and President of the company several times a year...today they were in my community, a rural market outside of San Antonio, Texas. Tami Bonnell gave a very inspirational and motivational presentation in the morning session (4 comments)
online marketing: Celebrating My First MCE Class! - 06/12/09 10:16 PM
Not taking my first MCE Class but teaching my first MCE Class of which I authored the curriculum!!! I am so stoked about teaching my own class and it's in front of the home crowd! The topic..."Online Marketing...FREE and Cheap!" and it includes a huge plug for Active Rain and blogging plus social networking, video, and creating a strong online presence! I have taught the class as a company trainer for two years now and I submitted it recently and got it approved this week. I get the privilege of presenting it at the Texas Association of REALTORS Region 7 (6 comments)
I have been pushing the video revolution for about a year now and I am really getting into it myself now that I am back actively listing and selling real estate and not playing manager. I was doing a faculty evaluation for our state association last September at our state convention and governance meetings and the instructor candidate was teaching a GRI Technology module. She did a great job of demonstrating tech toys and tools by actually passing examples of them around the room. When "The Flip" landed on my desk...I "Flipped!" I haven't been that stoked about a tech (3 comments)
