judy tuscano: Fannie & Freddie, do you know what your kids are doing???? - 02/27/09 08:17 AM
So the government is attempting to bail out the mortgage industry and in so doing has handed Fannie and Freddie untold billions of dollars to "help jump start the housing market".
There are untold thousands of foreclosed properties currently on the market for sale but if you were to study these listings state by state you will undoubtedly find that a few real estate brokers in each state hold the lions share of these listings. So much for "spreading the wealth".
If these brokers can handle the load without bogging down the process than, "good for them". My experience from the other … (8 comments)

judy tuscano: New Hampshire Real Estate Buyers looking for a deal - 09/14/08 04:14 PM
Bank owned property in New Hampshire is experiencing many multiple offer situations signaling that perhaps we have seen the "bottom" of the market here.
I have observed that the market, featuring many bank owned homes, here in New Hampshire is beginning to "turn the corner". The long lost qualified buyers for real estate are coming out of hiding in droves. This coupled with a market where bank owned properties prevail, despite the competition to purchase them, make the New Hampshire real estate market difficult to navigate.
Of course Real Estate is local and there are pockets that continue to remain strong but there are … (10 comments)

judy tuscano: Sugar & Ice Creamery in Barrington, NH. ummmmmmm good - 06/02/08 07:38 PM
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.
Perhaps you are unaware that there are actually statistics about nearly everything under the sun. Well I have heard it said that New Englanders consume more ice cream per capita than any other group of people!

That being said, I believe that we New Englanders are also "Ice Cream" snobs. Most any ice cream will not do for us. We like good ice cream. That geleto stuff or soft serve does not make it here although once in a while it's OK. We like homemade ice cream in a variety of … (15 comments)

judy tuscano: Buyers Market is now - Contact a REALTOR® to help you today. - 05/30/08 07:07 PM
As foreclosures continue to come available and inventory builds due to over extension of homeowners in the past several years, inflation and other factors, here in New Hampshire we have an overabundance of listings making this a Buyers Market.

Buyers are in a position of strength due to this overabundance of homes for sale. Combine that with interest rates still under 7% (factors such as credit score and debt to earnings ratios do play into this rate) and Buyers are in a win - win situation.
If you are thinking about buying your first home, this is the time. We can … (5 comments)

judy tuscano: Short Sales are popping up everywhere here in NH - 04/21/08 02:13 PM
I went out to show homes to a buyer this weekend and while setting up the appointments I found out that one of the three homes I was showing was subject to third party approval ie. a SHORT SALE. This was not noted on the listing information - it was told to me by the Sellers' Agent.
Short Sales are becoming more and more previlent in NH in this declining economic market and means that Buyers should be aware when looking at homes that the standard time period between making an offer and closing which typically takes 6 to 8 weeks may … (10 comments)

We have some new digs as of this past weekend. We have moved to a cottage on the shores of Pawtuckaway Lake in Nottingham, NH.
Saturday we had a crew of about 20 people pitching in to move us from our daughter's home in Brentwood to the lake. It was a rather easy move as we had most of our belongings in storage after selling our home in Brentwood a few months ago.
The weather was supposed to be rainy but we had favor and the clouds departed to give us a mostly sunny afternoon.

There is a "Special Election" being held in Brentwood, NH today, November 13, 2007 to fill the recently vacated seat for the position of State Representative. The seat was left vacant by the passing of long time servant of the people, Don Buxton, in June of 2007. judy tuscano: SNOW!..........................................It's only November 9th - 11/09/07 08:24 AM
When I awoke this morning, I went about my daily routine around the house and per usual I looked out the front window to check out the weather.
The birdbath that sits in our front garden was iced over as expected this past week or two but there was something different? It was as if someone had stolen into our yard and sprinkled powdered detergent into the bird bath? Who would do such a thing? Then I said to myself, "that isn't what that is", so I began to scan the scene more closely........
I glimpsed at the front deck and sure … (34 comments)

The time for our appearance was scheduled from 11:45am to 1:00pm.
