A little play on words here.  I snapped this photo of a wood bee flying around my patio yesterday.  He was created a wood bee and functions well as that.  But people that are always saying, "I would be a ________ (fill in the blank with your choice of professions), but ______________________________ (fill this blank with all of the excuses that you've heard for lack of achievement)." are not functioning as well as they could.

Weeds Are Someone Else's Wildflowers! These Are Some Of Ours in Southeast Oklahoma - 04/26/09 08:28 PM

The road ditches are alive right now in Southeast Oklahoma with beautiful native flowers.  In the pasture, we would call them weeds... along the roadways they are wildflowers.  The warm weather has arrived.  My granddaughter and I took a walk yesterday and found several bloomers!

Sweet, Sweet, Sweet!  I love the smell of peonies.
 
Every garden should have some for their sweetly fragrant smell. 
 
These white peonies with large blossoms about 6 inches across are in my garden. 
 
Peonies thrive and prosper in Southeast Oklahoma.  If you want to bring the fragrance of a flower garden into your home, clip a couple of these and drop them into a bud vase.  They bring both their fragrance and beauty in flower arrangements or alone.

Actually for the Fourth time in as many years, I've encountered a home that sits partly on the neighbor.  In the previous three times, it’s been a sale transaction.  This time, it’s a friend’s home, not a listing. 
Often we take a listing where there’s never been a survey done OR the seller says they have had one and the bank has it, but they did not get a copy.

New Maximum Income Limits for Single Family Housing Rural Development Guaranteed Loan Program. - 04/17/09 08:10 PM
Rural Development Income Limit is changing on the Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program.    Effective date is April 20, 2009. 
New limits will be posted on the  USDA website on that date.
http://eligibility.sc.egov.usda.gov/eligibility/. 
 
In Oklahoma, the new limits will be $73, 600 for a  1 – 4 person household and $97,150 for a   5 – 8 person household.  Households larger than 8 can add 8% of the 1-4 person limit for each additional person.

Kiamichi Independent Bikers hosting Poker Run to Benefit Relay For Life - 04/16/09 04:47 PM
The Kiamichi Independent Bikers, along with Millenium home Care of Oklahoma, and Wal-Mart of Idabel, Oklahoma are sponsoring a POKER RUN to raise funds for Relay For Life.   
 The run will take place in McCurtain county and Choctaw county Oklahoma.
The KIB are a group of motorcycle riders, a club, that rides in the two counties to promote good causes.

If You have not signed a Buyer/Broker Agreement with an Oklahoma Real Estate licensee, then you should feel free to call the phone number that is on the for sale sign in front of the property for sale.
Oklahoma is a Transaction Broker State.  When a licensee works as a transaction broker, they work with both sides of the transaction, buyer and seller.

Have you tried Google's browser - Chrome?   I like it!  Internet Explorer will not upload pics for me into my blog on AR.  Mozilla does and Chrome does.  
Chrome gives me more space automatically for viewing, without having to deal with deleting all that stuff at the top and then having it constantly come back, it's easier to bookmark, most visited sites on a new tab, safe settings for browsing, the option to browse incognito, and probably many features that I haven't found yet.  
It's refreshing to have another choice.

Fort Towson is proud of Chris Collins.  He is the new president of the state's technology student association.  TSA's website is oktsa.org.  TSA has more than 13,000 student members in 198 schools systems in Oklahoma and more than 150,000 in all 50 states.
According to the local paper, Chris won first place competing in Cyber Space Pursuit and second place in Extemporaneous Presentation.

I have some nectarine and apple trees that are so beautiful. 
They put on a bounty of blossoms early every spring and then the fruit a little later in the year.  They have prospered and done very, very well.

If you're shopping for wood blinds and don't want to pay the price for them, you might consider faux wood blinds.
The best place that I have found to buy faux wood blinds is Payless Decor.  I have ordered from this company 4 times now and have been pleased each time.

Sales Tax Increase in Hugo, Ok to subsidize the Choctaw Memorial Hospital. - 04/03/09 02:38 PM
The sales tax in Hugo has increased from 9.25% to 10%.  It was effective April 1, 2009.  This is a non-expiring tax increase that voters approved in December, 2008. 
The local hospital was in need of this help and the citizens over-whelmingly cast their vote for the hospital last December.  This is very important for this area.  Across the nation, small rural hospitals struggle for survival. 
For a breakdown of where the 10% sales tax in Hugo goes:
The state of Oklahoma receives 4.5%, Choctaw County receives 2%, and Hugo receives 3.5%.  The hospital's part comes out of the County receipts.
