McCurtain County's backbone is the country residence, homes surrounded by land. It's the reason that many people move here or buy a second home here when their main home is 4 hours or less away... if they can get here in a half of a day, then it's a great location for the "get away", the cabin, the retreat... During the last 12 months the following homes with at least 20 acres of land have sold in McCurtain County: Type Acreage Sq ft Bed/Bath Price (0 comments)

Billy, the other brother remained single but had brought along his fiance, Toni, and her two little ones aged 4 and 5. The Thanksgiving Dinner table was fully loaded... not only with food but (8 comments)

In every real estate transaction there needs to be a document recorded in the public records to indicate title transfer. Deeds and other public legal records pertaining to a legal description become the "chain of title" for that particular piece of property.
When you purchase real estate, you need to make sure that there is a document giving you title to the property and that it gets filed with the proper government authority, that being the County Clerk's Office in counties in Oklahoma.
I'm just a little picky about who I have work on my home. I simply do not like having strangers in my home, messing with my "stuff". There are probably a ton of folks that feel the same way. Like the office wall that separates my office from my living room. You can see the way it used to look in this blog post that I wrote (18 comments)

I need to get busy and do my shopping! Today has been a peaceful day at home after a (20 comments)
Anthony Brown (not his real name) called me about three weeks ago about a small acreage that I have for sale. He informed me that he had been pre-approved for a building loan through one of our local community organizations and would like to just do a drive-by to see where it was located etc and if he liked it's location, would call me back.
This week Anthony called back with interest in a home in Idabel. We visited about his pre-approval etc (14 comments)
