Beat the sun up this morning! The Big Dipper and I had a hot cup before Mr. Sol cast his bright rays down upon Southeast Oklahoma. There's something so wonderful and so amazing about gazing out onto a zillion stars with that first cup of coffee in the morning. I am so thankful that I don't live in a metro area with brightly lit nights making it difficult to see the stars. Such a pleasant surprise came in the mail yesterday! It Was Just a "Thanksgiving" Card! But not an ordinary one...well, the card was simple and kinda' ordinary BUT the inked words were not. There’s Dogwood days (in Spring in Idabel), Owachita (Festival of the Forest) at Beavers Bend (Summer at Broken Bow Lake), Blue Grass Festival (late Summer at Hugo), annual Watermelon Festival (Summer at Valliant), Fall Fest (Idabel, October), Lumberjack Festival (late summer in Wright City), Beaver’s Bend Folk Festival and Craft Show (Summer Broken Bow lake). I was on the lake yesterday, Raymond Gary Lake, that is in S E Oklahoma. I love having listings around that lake as it provides me with more opportunities to enjoy the lake. I even had time to go by my property there and check on our boat in it's boat dock slip. We have had so much rain during this past month that the grass everywhere is taller than I've seen it.
