tx: Active Rain, Mexican Food and M & M’s in New Braunfels, TX - 03/06/08 07:30 PM
Today is a gray, cold, rainy, and very windy day in South Central Texas; but, I woke up ready and excited for my day to start. First, I had to stop by the office and then take the 30 minute drive up to New Braunfels, TX. I had an appointment scheduled with some former clients to discuss listing the house I sold them 3 years ago. Employer has asked them to relocate - they love their house and New Braunfels and will miss both but must move forward with their lives. That's not the reason I was excited for my day

tx: AN AFTERNOON AR GATHERING WITH RICKI & CHERI LYNN...my side of the story... - 02/23/08 08:58 PM
Ricki Eichler & I met here on Active Rain back in November when she joined and I was one of the first members to welcome her. There was an immediate connection - of course, we're both in Texas and both with Coldwell Banker franchises but there was more to it. We've been scheduling lunches since November and life and business kept getting in the way. But, yesterday, we were finally able to work both schedules so that we could meet in Bandera, TX (with a little tweaking of schedules throughout the morning). What was supposed to be a 12:00 o'clock lunch turned

tx: FROM ROMANCE ON THE RIVER WALK TO. . . ROMANCE IN THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY - Part 2 - 11/12/07 12:04 AM
As many of you already know, Don & I were married at Marriage Island on the San Antonio River Walk on Saturday, November 3, 2007. I promised pictures. . . here they are. Shortly after the ceremony and posing for photos, we and our wedding guests left the River Walk and drove north of downtown to The Scenic Loop Café. It had been a beautiful day and the evening was just as beautiful. The sky was clear and the temperature in the high 60's. Our tables were set-up on the Arbor Patio, near the stage and waterfall - a beautiful

tx: ROMANCE ON THE RIVERWALK - 11/01/07 09:51 PM
If you've ever been to San Antonio, TX,you've been to Paseo del Rio, the River Walk along the San Antonio River. The River Walk winds through the heart of downtown San Antonio on both sides of the San Antonio River. The cobblestone and flagstone walkways and beautiful arched bridges and steps were completed between 1939 and 1941. The blend of fine hotels, shops, cafes and restaurants, music creates a very romantic atmosphere. Marriage Island is the most romantic spot on the River Walk. The small Island was the location of San Antonio's first Catholic mass in 1691. It is now a

tx: A New Beginning. . . - 10/13/07 12:56 PM
It's been about 3 weeks now. I'm now affiliated with Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper Realtors here in San Antonio, TX. It's a large Real Estate firm with 6 offices and over 300 agents. I've had my real estate license for 7 years but they wanted me to go through their training course. I had mixed feelings about having to go through the entire course - I knew a lot of the course would be a review for me - information I've heard over and over and over again during the past 7 years. But, at the same time, I know review

I've been a member of Active Rain since January, just wasn't active until one Saturday in March when I decided to check this site out a little closer and became addicted in a matter of 30 minutes (if it took that long). My commenting (dancing in the rain) on other member's blogs has been a fun and educational experience. I've met so many wonderful people but never expected to be MEME'd - thank you Jeff Belonger - here are 5 things that most of you don't know about mememe. I was born and raised in Louisiana - yes, I'm a Cajun. We

You know how when you are running errands that have to be finished by the end of the day -- there's a deadline tomorrow. You're thinking about how your day went, what calls you need to still make and getting the errands run so you can get home, change into comfortable clothes, eat dinner and have some time to spend on Active Rain. Well, that's what I was doing yesterday. I needed supplies to put together some gift baskets for our company charity golf tournament tomorrow. Parked the car, went into my favorite craft store -- ahhh, found what I needed but of course since I was
