As you can see there was a great turn-out and all enjoyed. It was held in a builder’s model home so a win-win for all. The builder got to show off this beautiful model home to many realtors last evening.
You can see that I was having a great time and posed with fellow agent Jonathan Osman. Of course we were in the food line.
It was so nice to see everyone decked out and looking their best.

Today as I arrived at our SouthPark Keller Williams office, I noticed a big U-Haul truck sitting in front of our building and two Marines were busy getting boxes out of the back of the truck.
The two Marines followed me into our building and actually delivered the boxes to our office. There was a recent article concerning Toys for Tots and that the donations were really down this year.
Once again our office is pulling together and everyone will be picking up a toy to bring to our (7 comments)

I was looking out onto our front lawn and black birds were everywhere. They must be migrating and moving south. This was looking towards our neighbors house.
Here was the first photo...
As I watched from the window the birds took flight and what a flurry. It reminded me of how the malls would be today. I decided to stay away from the malls.
Every agent brought a dish to share and we all got together to give thanks for all that we have. It was absolutely lovely today. It was well attended and the food was delicious. There was so much to choose from and many returned for seconds and thirds. I was good...I did not go back for seconds or thirds.
We started the meal by an agent saying a beautiful prayer over the meal.
Everyone then got their plates and went around the huge food filled (12 comments)

You may ask... what is a Schlumbergera. It is better known as... Christmas Cactus Thanksgiving Cactus Crab Cactus Holiday Cactus I guess our cactus are the Thanksgiving Cactus since they started to bloom this week.
This is a very low maintenance as well as easy plant to care for thru out the year. As you can see they are going to have many flowers.
Purchase a couple and give them a try. You will be glad you did.
In this picture you can see that the rose bushes still have roses in bloom. I will be busy cutting back all of these gardens, so that they can rest for the winter.
The next big rain will take off the leaves and trees will be bare.
No matter what season, it is always beautiful in Charlotte, NC.
Over the years I have worked with many lenders/loan officers and Melissa Messick is one of the best. From the moment she speaks with a potential buyer she is engaged and interested in providing them with the best service. She is with them from start to finish and even comes to closing.
Many times I have had buyers call her to get advice when the lender they have chosen to use is not (8 comments)

charlottehomeinfo: I Have to Have a Red Door!!
- 10/29/11 01:51 PM
Today I was working with a really nice couple from Ireland and as we looked at houses she kept making references for needing to have a red door on whatever house they end up buying.
After I dropped them off I decided to do some research on the meaning of a red door and found some very interesting facts...
To many people a red door means "welcome." For the Irish, their meaning for a red door is to ward off evil spirits and ghosts. Red is a lucky and sacred color for the Chinese. In fact they (14 comments)

Years ago I was so lucky to meet the many wonderful directors and volunteers with Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue. I started really slow when I first volunteered with Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue. You may wonder what one can do to assist and volunteer for a local rescue group in your area. You can volunteer your time to attend and assist with fundraisers. You can volunteer to help transport animals. They have to be transported from where they are rescued from to their foster homes or to the vetinarian for appts. You can donate money. You can volunteer to head up a fundraiser. (11 comments)

charlottehomeinfo: The Many Colors of Fall in The Carolinas!!
- 10/25/11 10:27 AM
Today was a beautiful day in Charlotte. At one point it was about 76 degrees and the sun was out and the sky was blue. Just a yummy day and am so grateful for beautiful fall days like these. Last year I planted a silver maple tree and it is growing fast. I noticed this morning that the top of it is beginning to turn red.
The mums continue to bloom and are beautiful.
I would be thrilled if it stayed like this all winter. It is definitely true... Nothing Could Be Finer Than to Be In Carolina... (15 comments)
Yesterday I was on my way to meet clients, but had to stop when I saw this lovely sea of color. The Pumpkin Patch had mums of every color and size. There were all shapes and sizes of pumpkins. It was really fun watching the children as they decided which pumpkin was going home with them. They were also selling corn stalks in bunches. It was a fun experience.
