I am still in New Orleans waiting to meet with my team to make the short drive home to Baton Rouge. (about 70 miles). In my first blog, I was optimistic on the number of members attending the convention. The number appears to be about 24,000. But still that was a great number to help this City back on it's feet. Thanks again to everyone for your support.
I am a board member of http://www.cyberprofessionals.net/. Our meeting as usual was jammed packed with new information. Our format is a little different in that it is a "not for profit" organization. The fee ($185) to attend the two day conference is one that only covers expenses to host the meeting. I have to thank Linda Davis of Connecticut (http://www.davislinda.com/) and Les Sulgrove of Iowa (http://www.homesbyles.com/) for their immense contribution to this and all meetings.
I enjoyed sitting by Angus Woodbury (http://www.anguswoodbury.com/). I had joined Active Rain a couple of months earlier but had done nothing with it. Well he changed that. I started my blog and attended the morning meeting of Active Rain users. Now the journey has started.
I am sitting here with a book Realty Blogging bought for my by one of my team members, Missy Roberts. Have any of you read the book and would you give me your comments.
I do not know yet how to link your names to your blogs, etc. Any comments on right or wrong on my initial posts would be great.
One last item--during the last few years I have become involved in governance with my local Board(2005 President), State Board (Secretary-Treasurer 2007) and now NAR. I will serve on the Communications Committee for 2007. There are under 20 members. Maybe I can use this forum to further education NAR membership on the benefits of blogging.
Thanks Angus (MOO) for everything.
