I am still in New Orleans waiting to meet with my team to make the short drive home to Baton Rouge. (about 70 miles). In my first blog, I was optimistic on the number of members attending the convention. The number appears to be about 24,000. But still that was a great number to help this City back on it's feet. Thanks again to everyone for your support.

I am a board member of http://www.cyberprofessionals.net/. Our meeting as usual was jammed packed with new information. Our format is a little different in that it is a "not for profit" organization. The fee ($185)  to attend the two day conference is one that only covers expenses to host the meeting. I have to thank Linda Davis of Connecticut (http://www.davislinda.com/) and Les Sulgrove of Iowa (http://www.homesbyles.com/) for their immense contribution to this and all meetings.

I enjoyed sitting by Angus Woodbury (http://www.anguswoodbury.com/). I had joined Active Rain a couple of months earlier but had done nothing with it. Well he changed that. I started my blog and attended the morning meeting of Active Rain users. Now the journey has started.

I am sitting here with a book Realty Blogging bought for my by one of my team members, Missy Roberts. Have any of you read the book and would you give me your comments.

I do not know yet how to link your names to your blogs, etc. Any comments on right or wrong on my initial posts would be great.

One last item--during the last few years I have become involved in governance with my local Board(2005 President), State Board (Secretary-Treasurer 2007) and now NAR. I will serve on the Communications Committee for 2007. There are under 20 members. Maybe I can use this forum to further education NAR membership on the benefits of blogging.

Thanks Angus (MOO) for everything.

Over 34,000 members of NAR will be visiting New Orleans for 5 days starting today. This is an estimated $45 million dollar impact for the City of New Orleans. For two days, I am attending a meeting of our group www.cyberprofessionals.net. REALTORS  are greatly supporting the New Orleans area.

We are staying at the Astor Crowne Plaza on St. Charles St. Six of my team members will be joining me for this infornatuve, fun filled professinal event. We will network, learn new practices and generally improve our services offered to Greater Baton Rouge Area home buyers and sellers.
