Good news - Arkansas workers don't spend as much time getting to and from work as folks in other states. Depending upon which part of the country you come from, you may already be well aware of that. I know I am. I don’t even like to think about the time I spent commuting when I lived and worked in the Washington, DC area.
These facts were published by the U.S. Census Bureau 2011 American Community Survey.

We all love farmers’ markets and Fayetteville’s Farmer's Market certainly is a most enjoyable place to shop for fresh fruits, vegetables, plants, cut flowers, baked goods, handmade crafts and much more.
 
The market is open each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday throughout the season on the Fayetteville Square. Saturday’s market in particular is usually bursting vendors, shoppers and entertainers alike. It is a wonderful way to spend some time buying locally grown fresh food for the family while supporting farmers at the same time. quality of life: Springdale, Arkansas--Best Place to Raise a Family - 12/06/09 12:39 PM
Business Week magazine recently named Springdale as the best place in Arkansas to raise a family for the second year in a row. 
It's nice to see Springdale recognized as it is frequently overlooked in favor of its better known neighbor--Fayetteville.
Springdale has its own charms, not the least of which is affordability. Also the NW Arkansas Naturals AAA minor league baseball team plays in a brand new stadium, and Rodeo of the Ozarks is now in its 66th year. There are parks, parades, an aquatic center, very nice library, good schools and jobs.

quality of life: Kudos to Fayetteville and Mayor Dan Coody for Trails Plan - 07/12/07 03:09 PM
The city of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has been planning and building multi-use trails for several years. This effort recently received nationwide recognition when Mayor Dan Coody was presented an award for climate protection at the 75th annual meeting of the U. S. Conference of Mayors in Los Angeles last month.
More than 100 cities competed. Applicants were judged on mayoral leadership, creativity and innovation, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and/or improved quality of life in their community.
Fayetteville's award was in the small cities category. Albuquerque, New Mexico, won a similar award in the large city category
