I have been hearing clear the mind and open the space alot lately.  What does it mean?  Slowing down the thoughts in your mind organizing them and letting in and thinking about what really matters.  Ok that is my own opinion.  So many around me including my friends, associates, family and clients are downsizing and selling the big house and buying a smaller one or just reducing the square footage they live in.  The reason being for most is that they are simplifying their lives.  How?  By lowering their expenses and work to keep up the house they are living … (4 comments)

Up to this weekend, I read a lot about, talked with many about and saw online live real estate auctions.  I have been part of online real estate auctions and other item auctions but this was not the same.  My client and friend was talking about his past experiences with them and then we decided to go to the www.Auction.com real estate auction at the Hyatt Regency O'hare.

Built in the 60's then destroyed by a tornado in 1967 and rebuilt in 1968-1969 and constantly renovated and improved.  The 6910 square foot estate is built with cedar and brick.  Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wrights Usonian and Prairie Styles the home gives the illusion that it is built into the earth.

I just arrived back home in Deer Park Illinois from an awesome college visiting trip with my 3 boys to California.  I am working on improving the process of passing down to my children what I have learned in my years of experience.  Setting goals with visualization.  What better way than to take a trip for information and to build their dreams and set goals?

Home Sales - Market Statistics for Barrington & Deer Park Illinois - zip  60010
Our number of sales are down for the first half of 08 compared to the same period last year, but the average LP(List price) and SP(Sale price) are higher.  The LP vs SP ratios are a little lower this year, and the market times have increased this year. 2008 monthly sales have been increasing this year with July being our best month. Prices are not going up, the homes that are selling are just higher price on average.

Handicap rounds started today at Makray Memorial Golf Club in Barrington Illinois for the BArrington area Chamber of commerce golf league.
